Our first trip inside a cave this weekend. Wyatt loved it. Super neat and accessible for just about anyone which is cool

A really neat experience getting to go in the cave. We brought flashlights and went as far back as we could and really enjoyed the cave!

This trail is called the Devil’s Icebox Trail in the Park and is mostly a boardwalk that leads to the entrance of Connor’s Cave and a natural bridge, although there are a lot of stairs along the way. As we descended the stairs to Connor’s Cave the temperature dropped by at least 20 degrees F. The stairs stopped at the entrance of the cave where we were able to explore 166 feet of the cave before stopping at a deep pool where the sign at the beginning of the cave says to stop.

The inside of the cave has a stream passing through it so be prepared to get your feet wet and remember to bring a flashlight. This was a short but fun trail that children will love. Some of the pictures posted here are for other parts of the Devil’s Icebox Trail such as the natural bridge.
