Established gravel trail in the middle of St. Louis County. Mix of wooded and open areas. Met quite a few people, even in heavy snow.

Very easy, paved loop.

Great trail for hiking or trail running. Stay on the rim like in the map for inclines and declines. Definitely nice views and good location

The long trail is about 2.5 miles, including gravel paths, large stones, and pavement closer to the nature center. Nicely groomed, no trash on the trails. Canada geese, mallards, squirrels, and hawks were out. Not too stunning in the dead of winter, but good views of the river and some streams. Sure to be much prettier with more foliage. Lots of people out on a nice day, but not too crowded.

good change in elevation. Well marked and maintained. Peaceful walk along some creaks.

This is an easy paved trail with enough scenery. The shut-ins are very pretty. We like hiking part of the connected US Forest service trail too.

Amazing trail to go on.

The trail was an easy walk especially with small children. I didn’t find the trail overly scenic and there was a fair amount of garbage.

Great honking workout. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 is due to the traffic noise. Definitely a great “in the woods” feel if it weren’t for the traffic noise. We were pleasantly surprised by the workout we got by following the unpaved path. Will definitely be coming here more often.

Waterfalls were beautiful! Fun trail! Great day for a hike.

We didn’t get to do the whole trail this time, but there’s definitely a lot to see- the whole trail is around the water. There are lots of rock formations, and some great places that overlook the creek!

My wife, daughter, granddaughter, and I hiked this trail last Sunday. It was a great hike, but a little longer and tougher than we expected. The falls were beautiful! The trail after the falls was mostly inclined with lots of rocks just the right size to twist an ankle. Well marked trail.

I love this trail. It’s very trafficked, but it’s still a good trail, especially for kids or beginners. I almost always see multiple types of wildlife, including deer. There’s multiple different trails, so you can choose your difficulty.

hidden gem right in the middle of Lee's summit. when the water is low you can follow the river bed. don't be afraid to explore. this trail also shares a border with the rock island trail

Awesome trail. My favorite place to go within an hour of Saint Louis. Very clean and scenic.

Drive 45 minutes often to this trail because it’s so beautiful and neat. Definitely recommend to everyone!!

Did First Day Hike here with naturalist Eric from Missouri State Parks. He was so knowledgable and made this beautiful trail even more enjoyable. Second time we have been to to park. First time on this trail. Canyons and sandstone bridge are so pretty. We will come back.

Very nice little trail system along the river. Enjoyable outting even in the winter. Many online spots say "no dogs" but we saw tons of people with theirs. Did step in dog shit at one point so please clean up after them if you bring yours.

I go here to jog, the full loop is nice. The wildcat glades side of the creek is relatively flat. The reddings mill side has a pretty decent ascent. There is nothing to keep anyone from falling over the ledges, so be careful. They do offer pretty beautiful views.
Note: Don't keep valuables in your car, a friend of mine had a window busted out while parked down the hill from the Audubon center.
Several places to park for quick access to any portion of the trail.

Good trail. A little too much pavement and man made sections of the trail for my taste but I would still recommend it. The spring is pretty amazing and there are sections that give history and information about the spring which is nice.

Nice trail with good views of the sandstone bluffs.

Pretty beautiful trail but it is a little rugged! We were supposed to be on another earlier trail , but we got lost, so we were on this trail! The falls on the half way are worth to visit! Gorgeous
My 4 year old son made it! Proud of him

Flat and easy winter hike. Beautiful scenery. Very quiet.. most facilities were closed (dog run).

Nice for December walk!!

The waterfall is beautiful, and tends to only be running full after a TON of rain! This Sanctuary has amazing biodiversity and quaint trail characteristics. It is a must-see - a tranquil spot. You can still hear an occasional car or train but for the most part it is quiet especially with full foliage. Great surrounding area as well - Parkville is so cute. Really lucky to have this right next to Park Uni campus!

Takes a little bit to get to the actual trail, don’t be confused if the map says you’re going off track or something like that. Pretty good scenery. You just go into the parking lot and go on the sidewalk until you reach the trail, which is marked by a sign.

Beautiful views of both the lake and the quarry. If you are in the neighborhood stop by.

Go to the left, clockwise to get to the canyon quicker. I have walked both down in the canyon and the path on the rim. Each are very pretty. when you make your way out of the canyon area there is a cutoff which will take you back to the trailhead in about 10 minutes. The rest of the main trail meanders thru the woods, over the ridge and through some smaller rock formations for at least another hr or so. Very pretty.

Great trail however it would have helped if it had been marked from the parking lot. It was helpful to have this app to follow the map.

Love this trail!
