Great for a walk after work. Mostly flat but not much to see since its right along a busy road.

Nice place for a short hike with a view of the river at the end. Was quiet and peaceful.

Not that great of a mountain biking trail but is nice for a walk in the woods. Great place to be in the woods but not have to drive way out of town.

Great area to ride your bike with nice views of bluffs and the river

My regular ride and one of my favorites.

Great hike!! Beautiful in mid October

The Katy Trail is one of Missouri’s outdoor recreational gems for biking, walking, and jogging. This section between Jefferson City and Hermann is beautiful with open pasture land and shady sections where the trail is protected in a canopy of trees. As you approach Rhineland, watch any of the small tree limbs or sticks in the trail because I got a flat tire somewhere in that section due to the thorns. Stay at Joey’s Bird House B&B in McKittrick-nice place and hospitality!

The Katy Trail is one of Missouri’s outdoor recreational gems for biking, walking, and jogging. This section between Jefferson City and Hartsburg is beautiful with open pasture land and shady sections where the trail is protected in a canopy of trees. We really enjoy Hartsburg. There are several good places to have breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The bike shelter at Hartsburg on the trail has a bike air pump and tools for your bike. If you ride the trail in October, you can spend the day at the Hartsburg Pumpkin Festival where there is plenty of food, crafts, fun.

Great trail! The flatness of it makes it easy to go for long distances with no problems. You get some beautiful river views and nice open fields as well. If you want more fun, start by the Missouri River bridge and ride across on the sweet bike path. Turn right out of the river access, cross the road and turn left onto the path and away you go. Left again when you hit the actual Katy Trail. Fun times. Much love:)

We ride the KATY trail a lot. We live on the Clinton end of trail. The entire trail is good. We particularly like the Jones bridge that crosses the Missouri River, it is awesome. You must take spur off trail into Jefferson City towards capital. Wile there do yourself a favor and go to Central Dairy for some ice cream

Great views and so peaceful.

Nice little trail to spend the afternoon with my kid!

Great for walking, biking and running. My house is right by the Greenway trail.

The Katy trail is a premiere rails to trails project. Many sections of varying lengths. Excellent.
Jeff city has many recreational opportunities.

Very easy, nice family place. Perfect place for a bike ride, although not too scenic.

There are some really pretty sections. Portland area has high bluffs on one side and the river on the other. Then there are sections that are just farm fields on both sides. Always a nice ride though.

One of best in world. We ride lots of trails and this one is great. Hard rain washed out a few places a couple days ago and today crews were repairing them!! Very well maintained. The 240 mile trail now has several spurs that take you to most larger cities.

Not very well marked..

descent mountain biking trails for the area. Also a good place to kayak, but watch out for the stumps just under the water line.

These trail have a little bit of everything. They are also not incredibly difficult so you can do it with a bike that has no suspension.

I live very very close to these trails. I go hop on them a few times a week for some hiking exercise. There are five to choose from, I take the kids on the 2 mile red trail and they really enjoy it. The Yellow is the longest and goes next to the lake for a lot of it, very pretty. My favorite is the Blue, it crosses a creek several times and has lots of flowers.

I love to go here in the cooler weather, as the wind does not bite too much, and it is just enough to spend an hour or so, and get back home without going too far.
