Dear Leap Trail begins near the spring, follows a series of step stone steps to the ridge overlooking the spring pool and the hatchery before continuing to the park cabins. It is heavily wooded and scenic for a short hike. This short trail leads to an overlook and boardwalk above the fish hatchery and the spring. From the overlook, you may be able to see the axle shaft from an undershot waterwheel that powered a gristmill in the mid-19th century. There is an access point near the twin waterfalls.Show more

Trail leads down hill to a opening in the Earth in several places. This leads down the canyon to the several caves and caverns that are prolific to the limestone ledges in the area. The trail gets a little tough in the bottom but easily overcome the last part back up the hill to the road is a little tough. You will see various Limestone ledges with many little caches. You wonder why the Outlaws and Ancient people liked it so well, just look around. The wonders abound.Show more
