Partly shaded and easy flat walk

Trail is mostly paved or gravel road. Once you get to the trail it’s nice and feels like your off the beaten path. But really that section is only about 0.8 miles and the rest feels like your hiking in a recreational park.

Nice trail that’s mostly a fine gravel path. There are multiple resting / viewing areas with benches. Also it was surprisingly scenic being so close to the Chesterfield valley shopping centers.

Easy hike. Elevation gains were very short or very gradual. No rivers or bluffs. Nice trees. no flowers in July. Hike got confusing as it crossed many other paths. Having a map was very helpful.

Good beginner hikes. Some elevation change but not difficult. Light traffic for a Saturday morning. Clearly marked. Lots of shade on this wooded trail.

The parking for this trail is directly off of Olive. There are maybe 7 parking spots. Even though this trail was very short, I spent about half of the hike following dead-end trails which was frustrating. It is very peaceful and doesn't look like it gets a lot of foot traffic, but the trail follows right behind someone's backyard. It is very well-shaded and has decent elevation change for such a short hike.

I love these two trails. Both are loops and allow you to go straight from one to the next if you want to keep hiking. Dogwood is much more difficult than woodbine. I recommend good foot wear as the trails can be quite rough. Trails are almost entirely wooded.

This trail needs some markers to stay on path. There were a few times we followed what looked like a path and took to a dead end. Some areas had overgrown weeds/plants etc. It was a decent hike for a beginner like me.

Knocked these two out today along with the equestrian trail. Saw a lot of wildlife on the trails with deer, lizards, chipmunks, turtles, and a skunk that wouldn’t let me pass for some time. Take away the skunk and the three dozen or so webs I ran in to and the hikes were a great way to start my summer vacation from teaching.

Great loop around; easy trail and a little lake..

A good mix of paved and unpaved trails available. Lots of equestrian activity which was interesting to watch. Definitely a good place to hike or ride bikes.

Easy, we'll kept trail along various horse riding and activity areas...all in all a beautifully, simple adventure

Would rate this 3.5. Well marked. Not too wet even though it had rained for 2 days. My dog enjoyed the walk. Will come back in dogwood season.

Definitely recommend you take a photo of the trail map as you enter the park. We had trouble finding where to find and start the trail even with this map, but we made it. It was a good hike, but it isn't one that we will definitely return to. We did both the green and blue loops.

Well maintained path. Not too much foot traffic. Decent views. Scattered receptacles for trash dog waste

Nice short hike!

This trail is really nice, but this app says it’s 1.8mi and the trail itself is actually only 1.1 and it’s pretty difficult! It’s short, but pretty hilly! The scenery is really nice and there’s a couple of greenhouses along the way, too!

I walk here a lot as it’s only a few minutes from home. Lots of asphalt and gravel, pretty level and easy walk. Downside is that it backs up to roads and residential areas. Also, heavily trafficked and loud.

nice trail for me and my dog. not very challenging. well groomed.

Nice walk!

Nice, short scenic trail. Floods easily, but it is now completely accessible. Go off trail on the backside of the trail for a nice view of the Missouri River.

Quick and easy. Well established trail and well marked too. Perfect for my aging dog and the younger one too.

Short. Best in Fall.

Dogwood Trail is beautiful, my favorite of the two. We took the little path to the spring; will definitely return for hikes in the Fall, Winter, and Spring.

Nice collection of 3 or 4 different hikes here at Babler, each between 2 and 3 miles in length. Can string them together for longer hikes.

This trail is more an out and back trail than a loop. It is made a loop by using part of parking lots and sidewalks throughout Faust Park, which dampers the experience. We went off trail a bit to experience the beautiful wildflowers on the hillside. The trail itself travels through mature woods that are well maintained, there is a Creek and small wood crossing that adds charm to the experience. The STL Parks rate this trail as difficult, however, I agree more with the moderate rating here. It is short, although there are inclines, but still the inclines are on walkways making them easier to handle. I highly recommend taking the trail as an out and back.

Quiet, low traffic, beautiful trees. We thoroughly enjoyed!
