Great workout.

Nicest part of the wooded trail behind Cape Girardeau’s Conservation center. Trail is newer asphalt and wooden bridges are in good shape. A lot of significant elevation changes for its short distance. Had connector to Cape LaCroix and the rest of the conservation trail. Great cardio workout. The only negative is that the trail is not wheelchair accessible.

I loved this trail! It was quite easy and the scenery was breathtaking.

We walk this trail most weeks with the dogs. The trail is well marked until the last hill, after that its a little overgrown. We walk to the pond and loop back, its the perfect distance for a quick walk near town, through the forest, as it takes us around 30 minutes.

Nice paved trail, ideal for walking pets as it’s pretty wide and you don’t have to worry about ticks as much as on a narrow trail. We spotted a family of deer so that was nice!

This was a pleasant hike with some unexpected views. The elevation varied greatly but the hike was not strenuous. There were a lot of fallen trees and the path was grown over in parts. Trail markings were also not obvious.

nothing to see.

Paved and, most importantly, pet friendly! I walk my pup here regular.

Forested area next to the city of Cape Girardeau. There are few little off shoot trails from the main one. I saw a lot of birds while hiking. Relatively easy trail with a few gentle hills. This area is used for research so please do not disturb research efforts!

A get away within the city limits. A short hike with a a few steep cardio hills thrown in. Good place to see wildlife at certain times and an array of plant life. You can make the hike longer by connecting to the Maple Hollow trail or the Cape Bike Trail.

It loops. A few creeks you go over. It's paved and easy. Scenic. You can see a lot of birds and deer

This is a shorter hike and the description "a paved trail with steep ups and downs" is accurate. You will have to be prepared to climb some small hills and you will also run into a small set of stairs on the trail. The trail is mostly paved, which is nice. It is only a short distance from the Cape Girardeau Nature Center -- you could park in the parking lot and take a stroller to the trail. Just remember if you use a stroller that there will be lots of hills -- this didn't stop us, but could be an issue for some. Good way to end a Nature Center trip!
