Great trail! easy to miss the turn off from Lone Wolf to the river trail so pay attention.
also if you hike here OR ANYWHERE! pick up your trash! it isn't that hard!!

Loved it except crazy teenagers acting out like psychos. Definitely nice and light workout.

we love this trail! its a hard start going up hill, but it gets pretty easy once you get to the top. A bunch of off the spot views to look down the mountains at the river and train track too! very beautiful

This trail was awesome, really scenic, paved for the first 2 miles (coming from the elementary school trailhead) then good footing on dirt for the rest of the trail. Although, be wary, if you’re parked at the elementary school, the last 2 miles to the lot have +280 elevation change, including +200 elevation change in the last mile. But all in all, it’s a great trail with access to other great trails as well.

Nicely maintained paved path trail with access to the Al Foster, Zombie, and Bluff View Trails.

This is a challenging but fun trail. Lots of great scenic view points. Great for the whole family. Very pet friendly.

Fun and beautiful trail

Fun trail. Bit narrow with traffic going both ways but overall fun.

It was pretty muddy the the day we went. But beautiful scenery.

I ran this trail in mid-December, starting from big parking lot at end of paved road by river. Favorite part is first mile or so, nice packed sand trail, lovely views of river. Most strenuous part is the stair section! Then, another great scenic section, high above RR tracks, expansive view of Meramec valley.

Loved the views.

Beautiful Bluebells in Spring.

Access off of Al Foster trail, so it is less travelled. Worth the effort.

Nice overlooks. Crowed but nice trail. My boys loved the nearby train and the water

This trail has it all- hills in and out of the trees, a fantastic view at the top, off-paths for bicycles, and runs right by the river. It’s a local favorite.

Great views all the way through, I would recommend this hike. Prepare yourself for the armada of mosquitoes though haha!

My first time hiking and I thought it was not only easy enough but beautiful. I saw the bluffs with the river view and a creek bed. Lots of great photo opportunities

I loved this trail!

Great trail on the edge of the suburbs! Very active park, there was a trail race event going on while I was there, but still I had plenty of room to hike this route comfortably. There's some good bits of elevation gain and fabulous bluff views along the South edge. Most of the trail has plenty of room to let mountain bikers pass, but do keep aware for them coming around corners.

I was amazed by the wildlife. Deer were grazing by the side of the road as I drove into the park, as if it was a zoo, and I encountered another one which let me get within 20 feet before casually trotting away. Lots of birds flying around. I was VERY glad I brought bug spray, so don't forget yours!

Only reason it's not 5 stars is the vehicle and train traffic noise you can't really get away from. Not bad, but always there.

One of my girlfriend and I's favorite place to go :) Lots of views and you can see alot of deer on the lower levels. highly recommend for anyone, friendly for all ages

First hike, great experience! Panoramic views. We started at the east and ascended via the stairs. They are well maintained and really get the blood pumping. A few more inclines made for a great hike. Cooled down with the Meramec river trail.

First 1/4 to 1/2 mile a little tough but rest of trail easy enjoyable
