Nice place about 2hrs away from NOLA. Took the family here for my birthday. Kids loved it, but said they’d rather go hike back in Colorado. Lol We arrived around 8:30am and we left about 3.5-4hrs later it was packed.

i branched out recently this year to hike locally near my hometown in South MS because i no longer had as much opportunity to visited the smoky mountains, and CRAVED a good hike. Clark Creek fulfilled every bit of that craving and then some ! i had so grateful that this place exists. it is absolutely gorgeous and seems to grow each time i go. i always discover something new and i can never get tired of it. such a wonderful place !!

i have visited Clark Creek on 4 separate occasions. it is one of my absolute favorite places to hike !! the improved trail is very open and well-directed while still keeping the full natural, woodland feel. i have never had a bad experience at Clark Creek and each time i’ve discovered another waterfall !! there is SO much opportunity and plenty of options for those of us who prefer a rugged, “off-road” adventure. i do not, however, recommend taking young children. it is strenuous in many places and would be better for a young adult & anyone who aspires to maintain their physical fitness !!

Love walking part of this trail everyday with my dog! It’s always well maintained and is stays pretty busy with bikers and runners. Definitely a fun thing to do in Hattiesburg if you want to spend some time outside!

Love coming here. We came back and brought the grand baby and she loved it too! Very nice and clean place

Check the hours of operation may not be open,.

This trail was nice and very pretty. It was really muddy in a lot of spots with a few hills. There are some trees down but it isn't too hard to get around them. about 3.5 miles in it isn't as well maintained. There are a horses on the trail so keep that in mind.

Love this place.

All in all a nice trail. (I backpacked from Janice landing to fairley bridge landing.) Although it could use a little maintenance (a lot of trees blown down in the recent storms we have had and very grown over in places) and a few well placed bridges over the more treacherous water crossings would help. *mile markers would be awesome*

beautiful smaller waterfalls, we saw 3 of them on this trip. lots of friendly people on the trails. we will be coming back to do the primitive with the kids. had a great time it's a good leg workout

As a local, this is a fun and moderately fast trail for those that know it well. For first time riders, it can hold some challenges. It’s not flat but nothing insurmountable. It’s been affected by work on the lake and may have more changes as lake repairs continue in 2019.

We got there around 0830 in the AM, beautiful clear day, lots of deer active in the woods. The first half is harder than the back half, but it was easily hiked in shoes. If its recently been raining, I'd wear boots, there were parts that would be muddy if it was wet.

Hiked the shorter swinging bridge trail then went off the trail around the Dam. The fall colors were amazing, even saw a bald eagle flying around. Arkabutla is a hidden gem in DeSoto/Tate County!

Great trail, well maintained with great scenery!

It's a nice walk in the woods with this well-maintained trail. Events at Ole Miss are distracting and bug spray recommended. Those detractions aside, make sure that if you start near the Ole Miss history building, go all the way to Rowan Oak, William Faulkner's home during the last half of his adult life. Relax and soak in the Southern charm of mid-1900's lifestyle.

not really much of a hike, we walked on the road half the time lol

wouldn't recommend

Came on October 27th and didn’t know trail would be closed until we got here and ‘trail closed’ sign was at trailhead :(

Pretty solid trail with a lot of sights along the way. Very rustic and even offers a lot of primitive trails. Just be careful, the primitive trails offer little to no cell phone service.

The road to get to this trail is closed on Sundays

great little hike 1/4 mile, with an old gristmill from 1857.

I’m so happy this place exists. After moving to very flat Louisiana from Maryland I miss being in a forest with hilly terrain. These trails fulfill all my hiking desires. Lots of variations: steep hills, flat trails, shade, sun, walks along the creek beds, even several areas with steps for those who want the solidarity of a staircase to climb rather than the hoof it on the land next to it. And of course, waterfalls abound. We saw at least four of them, and I think there are more. I saw lots of dogs on this trail as well, especially along the creek beds, and they looked like the happiest dogs on the planet. Worth the drive, I only wish it were closer to New Orleans!

nice place but the trefoil was pretty bad

Used to be good when it was maintained and well kept. Too tall of grass and bridges are out in various places.

One of my favorite places to hike in MS. There is a pea gravel trail that is nice and wide. Lots of hills so it’s a little tiring but not bad. There are horse/bike trails that go into the woods as well. Very pretty especially in the fall...beware of ticks in the spring!

Haven’t done this since I was a kid. I went back today to do the full loop with some of my family and we got lost several times due to the many down trees and overgrowth. It’s a beautiful trail, it just needs a chainsaw and some love. Please be careful when going out there. It is difficult to determine where the trail continues on at several points. Wear pants and bug spray.

Easy trail but had great view from atop the “mountain”. Great place to take nature photos too.

Well marked. Moderate hills to climb.
