A great early winter trail. No mosquitoes. No stilling humidity. Not a ton of people. Nice quote hike along frozen streams and old trees. Lots of trees dropped haphazardly by the floods for a dynamic landscape.

pretty trail just a pity that the river is not traversable in winter without risk of breaking the blow by passing on frozen tree trunks or broken bridges.

Beautiful hike with a touch of snow covering most of the ground. Can be a little slippery in a few spots. Highly recommend exploring it outside of summer.

12/8. Beautiful and peaceful, but I needed yak tracks that I hadn’t brought?

Beautiful snowy day for a snowshoe hike to see Magnetic Rock. Bring a magnet!

Excellent short trail from the Britton Peak Trail Head parking lot. Snow shoed fresh powdered trail with 6 plus inches of snow. 3.5 hours. Probably half that without the snow. Great day.

This is one of my favorite trails to run. It’s well groomed in the winter time and beautiful every step of the way.

$7 to park and run. Uh no thanks

Truly enjoy this place year round. Fall and winter are the absolute best in my opinion. CAUTION: The current trail routing takes you OUT of the nature area and onto private property at the northern part of the loop. There are established horse trails on the northern part. I just recommend caution and courtesy on that end.

Probably was something back in the 1930s. Now, lots of plastic bags in the trees near the river.
