I’ve trod this path many times. In my twenties lugging climbing gear and a sleeping sack to spend weekends at Carlton peak, climbing and exploring, the woods, the rock and myself. As a grown up, sharing the path with my wife, on the weekend of our engagement and later still, having traded climbing gear for children, with my daughters, showing them the beauty of the shore. This is a wonderful trail filled with memories both epic and fond. Take some time to make your own here.

Paved trails on the south side of the lake, and the wooden path between lakes, are lovely. The natural trail on the north side of Crosby is pretty muddy in spots...I suggest long pants if you’re not going to keep to the paved trails. Water appears to be down, so everything seemed to be open.

Pleasant hike in the woods around swampy lakes and ponds. Trails are well-maintained and well-marked. Paved trails are intermittent in western side of park. Slight elevation changes. Park is in the suburbs near MSP so there is decent noise from the highways and airport.

Easy trail with good paths. Start at the falls and stroll to the Mississippi. A nice walk.

Took my 12yr and 9yr niece yesterday! We reached the top but I didn’t look at this app beforehand, I just went on a recommendation. Def have good hiking boots with ankle support and bring water and backpack to have your hands free, and bug spray they got bad as we were getting out. Fun hike!

Short hike, with beautiful up close view of the falls. Great place to visit in either winter or summertime!

Beautiful woody park in Mankato, MN. Lots of trails.

Went from co rd 50 into Shingobee Rec area and back. Great trail! Clean and not overgrown but small enough and still gives that natural feeling. Bugs weren’t bad (middle August). Never saw another person.

lower part trail is a little slippery.

Avon to Melrose is a nice relaxing ride. a few bumps that should be repaired. Big plus is its quite and few others to contend with.

Great hike today with my sister and daughter. Perfect conditions: dry, cool sunshine with a breeze. Great views of Superior as well as Bean and Bear Lakes. Very enjoyable hike, will do it again! Would love to do it in the fall when the hardwoods are at their prime.

Some steep terrain but mostly moderate. Great views of Lake Superior at multiple points towards the beginning. Even better views on the scenic overlook spur, you can see Isle Royale on a clear day. The falls themselves are a good spot to stop for lunch, keep your eye out for boundary markers on the rock out croppings. The sign at the beginning of the trail advises against going in the water due to leeches and giardia which was unfortunate.

The trail is much longer than stated and is not accurate to the map online. The trail is around 6 miles long due to modifications to the trail.

part of the trails are not paved.

Great trail! We brought our dog and she loved it. Fairly shaded with tree cover. Beautiful scenic areas. Highly recommend

This isn’t really a trail. It follows, sort of, the frisbee golf course. Don’t get me wrong, if you are there to play frisbee golf it is a quite beautiful course. If you are there to swim, really nice too. It is just this hike that isn’t really a hike that I am rating 1 Star.

My favorite is early spring when falls are mostly still frozen to late spring with lots of wildflowers. muddy in spring past the falls but great for kids.

One of the best in the area.

Open today, August 13. It is a flat, shaded trail—nice on a hot day like today. You can add on miles by running from Minnehaha Falls area, Minnehaha Creek, etc.

Simple Trail, Paved just a nice walk or Jog around the lake . Can get pretty crowded and parking can get a little ruff. Overall Nice trail!

This trail offers great views of the lake and bay. We hiked in August and overgrown vegetation was on parts of the trail. Bring bug spray!

Nice short hike to the Kabetogama Lake. Connecting with the Blind Ash Bay trail makes for a longer 3.4 mile in and out with great views of the lake and bay.

Very easy walk, mostly paved. I don’t recommend the lake loop, you end up walking alongside busy city streets and in neighborhoods.

Plenty of parking on the east side at the end of Lone Pine dr. that serves the popular Fishing Pier. Can get pretty muddy over on the west side if there has been any recent rain.
Very picturesque!

Beautiful scenery. Paved path options. The floating wood path over the water is a little weird at first, but pretty cool.

Note that the garden has limited hours and does not open until 7:30 AM. The gate was unlocked, but I guess I play by the rules. The trail itself is wonderful. Signage not so much. Kind of easy to get turned around. Lots more trails outside the actual garden.
