Hiking

Nice trail. Mud in a few areas, but not too bad. First part is paved, the rest is a fairly easy/moderate hike. Pretty route along the river.

Amazing views! Well maintained trails. We hiked with my 16 and 7 year old and it was awesome

Start at the lower falls early to enjoy them and beat the crowd, then head up river where it's far less traversed, but equally beautiful. Wear water shoes to fully enjoy. Great hike with 4 year old!

We want one way from Fifth Falls to Castle Danger Trailhead. Great hike. 9.6 miles from visitor center. Waterfalls. Beaver Dams. Great views by Castle Danger

Walking

This was a perfect family hike. Kids can get get right down to the water. Some elevation but only easy-medium difficulty. We walked out and back in about 1 hour. Short hike and right in Two Harbors. Super vistas of Lake S. Stop at Louise’s Place before or after for a bkfst sandwich or bakery and coffee.

Good trail with good views. The higher up you go, the less people which is a plus. The lower falls get very busy and overcrowded. Up and down just a bit which gives you a good workout. All and all, not a bad hike at all.

Excellent trail. Hiked from Gooseberry to Castle Danger. Trail is marked well and campsites looked good. Got caught in a hail storm but that’s part of hiking.

Well maintained trail. Main Falls by the visitor center was busy but not overly crowded. Main Falls is the tallest and most scenic. The trair follows both sides of the river with a couple bridges over. The farther you get from the main Falls the less people. Pretty river is visible from almost the entire trail. Easy to moderate hike. Definitely recommend it.

The main falls on a Saturday morning in July were, obviously, jam packed with folks. This trail, however, was lightly traveled. It’s a beautiful trail traversing the river and forest and some really bitchin’ falls. Plenty of opportunities for solitude and pics. Enjoy.

Big rain last night. Trail in great shape despite that. VERY crowded at the lower and middle falls. After passing that, not many people as they stop at the falls.

This is a short, easy trail that loops around the back of the Falls so less crowded. There are nice views everywhere and the trail is smooth and well-maintained.

Nice trail for dogs. Pretty busy so get there early. The views of the falls are lovely and the trail is mostly shaded. An easy, relaxing hike.

Great trail.path follows both sides of river. Beautiful scenery. Easy/moderate. We are in our late 50’s and in average to good shape and found this to be very scenic and enjoyable trail.

Very trafficked trail. Nice and easy with some great views. If you’re looking for a casual hike, this is great! If you want a workout, check out something else.

Hiking

Get there super early as the crowds increase quickly. Many people aren't wearing masks and they aren't social distancing so not the best spot to go right now especially if you have health conditions. Otherwise it is a very nice hike, some hills but overall pretty good.
