Fairly easy hike. We opened to take the first look out and it did not disappoint. There are a series of stairs to get down to the falls, but it was definitely worth it!

We took one 3 mile section as a loop. Many options. Biffs available. Can tell they keep it up. Shady and sunny spots on trail. All bikers called “ on the left.” Will go again.

Nice trail. I would say it’s more moderate than easy with some inclines. But short enough to be manageable.

Great trail along the beautiful Fish Lake. There is a buffalo path that says it’s only open on Saturdays. We’ll go back soon.

Excellent trail, with great views of the woods. A couple nice views of the lakes from the trail. Excellent trail with not a lot of people. Very Peaceful.

There are some great climbs on this trail that I think would be difficult for some people. It’s a nice little hike, but on the moderate end of east.

Easy walking trail with nice lake and forest views. You can cut it short by not going under the highway. I recommend to hike the dotted lines to extend the hike. It was nice to get out while staying at the Radisson Blu at the Mall of America.

The falls were packed with people. The Hope Trail and some of the Beaver Trail were still very muddy. But a relaxing hike in the woods overall

I would recommend this hike to anyone looking for a close to town one hour hike through the woods. Terrain is mostly flat forest floor with a few rocks and area of bog. I observed song birds, grouse, deer, chipmunks, squirrels and a crow. If you start looking around the 0.8 mile mark you will find a small trail that winds back to a babbling brook and beaver damn.

Beautiful dirt hiking trail running among lakes, primarily Jenson and O’Brian. Trails were in excellent condition and elevated walkways meant dry shoes for the most part, even though it rained quite a bit last night. There was a large tree fallen over the trail but likely just happened. Little elevation and light to moderate traffic. I grew up nearby and had only done the Jenson loop - O’Brian had a few nice spots but probably wouldn’t recommend the full loop unless someone was looking to add some mileage.

Fun little hike. We clocked it under 3 mi? The new growth post- blow down and fire is beautiful. A lot of shale rock to walk. An easy hike to a very majestic rock. Stonehenge on the Gunflint.

This is a great hike to the tallest point fully in MN. From Temperance, the river is beautiful to walk by during the beginning. As you near the base of Carlton, expect to be a mountain goat. If you want the views but not the adventure, I would go in from the other side.

Fun little hike with a few surprises. Quite a few scenic overlooks as you circle the whole peak. Serene walk through a beautiful forest of maples. Relatively easy.

As I drove into the park - 3 deer bound across the toad - beautiful. I only did 10 miles, but if you take the “off trails” the Lyn are beautiful. Next time I go back I will be prepared to do the full 19+ miles.

I would recommend this trail to anyone looking for a peaceful beautiful walk or hike! I was so pleasantly surprised by this trail. There are many different trails to walk, much more than I did. Beautiful waterfalls and stream. I wish I would have had the entire day to spend here. No paved trails *which I prefer".

Little mud but nothing that couldn’t be avoided. It’s a beautiful easy trail. Kid friendly and we saw deer. Was fun to go out to the point between the Mississippi and Minnesota River. Recommend.

Great hike that loops fish lake. Multi different ecosystems including bison area, prairie, oak savannah, beaver habitat, wet lands, lake and more! Trail gets a little muddy in a few areas and has multi boardwalks threw the wetlands. Abundant wildlife and scenery! Great hike year round. To complete the loop must walk next to the road for .5 of a mile but didn’t mind because of the lake view.

Beautiful trail through old pines and cedars. Lots of roots and rocks so it requires some concentration on footing. Hundreds of dragonflies out today...it was enchanting!

Outstanding short trail

I went to the Snake Trail for the first time today. There are two sections: motorized and non. I ended up on the motorized section because it’s where most of the trail recordings are at so that was helpful. The main reason I went to the motorized is because the non motorized is really over grown. About knee high in some areas. The motorized section was really well kept. The only down side to that for hiking is you have to be on alert for upcoming ATV riders. With that said, I only came across one ATV rider the entire 4 miles I hiked so it’s not a huge concern. I just wouldn’t bring small kids out to hike that route.
