Beautiful scenery. Paved path options. The floating wood path over the water is a little weird at first, but pretty cool.

First, the trail surrounding are beautiful: rolling prairies and dense woods. I'm not sure I'd come back thought because of how bad the trails are marked. My friend and I took the map and planned out a 5.7 mile hike. it turned into right under 8 miles because of the wrong turns. I didn't realized I'd need to use orienteering more for a simple trail.

Great trail loop! I have used it for runs before as well

I loved the trails and bridges! The maps on the trails made it easy to navigate and the views were a great escape from the city life.

Steeper than I thought and lots of horse nettle.

A great trail for walks in the hot weather with your dogs. Most of the trail is shade and is very easy. There are very nice wooden bridges around the lake in great condition to get you over the wet spots. There are a few benches to rest on along the way. We took the short trail and it was just over an hour with two small beagles in 88 degree weather. The trail is well marked at all the intersections and the signage in excellent condition. As always bring bug spray. We will be back soon to try the longer loop soon.

Very nice trail with picnic tables along the way. The trail is maintained very well with signage along the way. We had our two beagles with us and they loved it. Even on a Sunday there is very little traffic. We crossed a horse or two along the way but that was it. Very nice route.

Nice, easy one hour loop walking trail. Lots of places to stop along the way if you'd like. I was most impressed by the trail markers and maps. Very easy to follow and plan your hike by following the numbers on the trail map markers.

It’s a great 1 hour walk that’s pretty easy. The views from the lake are phenomenal, we’re super lucky to have this gem in Eagan.

Love riding here! The trails are not perfectly marked and there aren't always maps at the station. However, a great variety of moderate trails!

Had a difficult time finding the head of the main trail, and it would have been nice for the information posts to have maps on them, but the area itself was beautiful. Saw nearly a dozen deer, a variety of birds, and interesting bugs and plants.

Absolutely beautiful place to be. My favorite place to be.

Go to everyday walk.

Only problem was the dog poop other than that love this trail!

I love the trails at Seven Mile Creek. My most favorite place to run.

Nice peace and quiet near Fertile. Saw lots of deer! Beautiful white snow and sweet serenity. No one but the wife and I out exploring the snow covered trails today. A little tough knowing what trail we were on as there were biking, horse, cross country ski, and hiking trails all of which had white fluffy stuff covering them. All in all, a great place to explore!

Great fairly easy trail along the river.

Enjoyable hike. Hiked 4.5 miles with my dog. Trail is mostly a horse trail. So dogs can't use it. Not sure what policy is when trail is closed to horses. Will be messy when snow melts so suggest doing it before spring thaw. Saw two bald eagle. Would suggest going in on Grimm road and using parking access there because of paved parking. For this trail follow the Kings trail signs. Sure it would be beautiful in spring and summer also. But remember dogs are not allowed on horse trails. Great overviews and a few picnic tables on trail. Will be going on my do again list. ALWAYS WALKABOUT!!!

Very serene and relaxing walking trails that meander through woods and prairies. Also, has a nice lake. Great place to contemplate and meditate.

Great hike for kids. Nice flat trail. Pretty views along the river. We hiked it Black Friday this year.

Peaceful, beautiful, lots of wildlife, and great in every season. I rarely see another human while I am there, and I love that!

Easy trail with great views as you travel parallel to the St. Croix. About a third through there is a beach you can relax at and even do a little bit of swimming, wave to our WI neighbors or any passing kayakers. Trails halfway point is at outlook Nevers Dam, you have the option of turning around and following the river back to the trailhead or taking Nevers Dam trail then to old cottage trail to complete the River Trail Loop. If a longer hike is desired you can continue along the river and add 1.5 miles by completing River Terrance Loop.

Two Suggestions: Check trail status before you make the trip. Can be muddy or washed out depending on the weather. Also if it is between April - August bring the bug spray!
