Really liked it. Pretty well marked. Nice campgrounds for picnic.

This trail had great scenery with multiple levels of difficulty throughout the trail. Pay attention to signs and watch your step. In summer months definitely bring bug spray.

Quite disappointed. The deer flies were relentless and aside from a few lake views, there was little to see the r enjoy

Running

Just ran this trail for the first time last week. Completed in 2:46, most enjoyable run I've ever had the pleasure of doing.

Wonderful trail! Difficult to navigate. We got lost (even with the loops). Still!! Beautiful views!! So many wildflowers and lakes to explore. I wasn’t expecting it to be so up-and-down, regardless, it provided beautiful view of tree tops right next to you! I loved it! Def worth the 5 miles!

Good hiking trail with some nice campsites that have trails down to the lake. Pretty rocky and some inclines, but overall an enjoyable hike! We started on the Norberg trail, did the longer part of the Becky Lake trail that connected to the Blueberry Lake trail. On way back we went on the other part of the Becky Lake trail. Pretty scenery!

We had a nice hike today on the Becky Lake Trail and then on to Blueberry Lake trail. It was quite rocky and some inclines, but gorgeous sites. Nice moderate hike that can be somewhat challenging with the rocks and inclines, but also some nice views of East Bay and Becky Lake when you get there. One campsite on the lake and area to walk down to the lake.

Nice trail. Watch for the off shoots from trail to get better views of the lakes. Don’t forget the bug dope!!

I just completed the hike in a little over 2 days while maintaining a fairly casual pace. 3-5 hours of hiking per day in full camping gear. The trail conditions are great with barely any wet spots. There is little signage, so I would recommend a physical map and compass. There are also some challenging areas, so make sure you’re up for some intense hiking. I would also highly recommend a mosquito net. Very buggy. There was low traffic, so all the great campsites were available. very rewarding hike!

Great trail. I’ve done this a few times over the years. No one here during first day after opening on Covid. Great views

My favorite trail. Used to hike this every summer and camp at Bass Lake when I still lived in Minnesota. 5 years in a row, pretty much have it memorized. Missing it a lot here in Florida...

Great hike! It’s very rocky and rooty but if you ever hike the SHT you know that’s what they are all about! It makes it that much more challenging, especially when your legs get tired, trying not to stun your toes a thousand times! I did both loops to make it worth while as I normally prefer a much longer hike. Great views and although the fall foliage was all done it was still quite pretty!

Great hike! Not too developed, so it truly felt like a moderating challenging hike. Views of the lake throughout, hiking though forests and more open areas.

Great little hike if you're in the Ely area. October colors were unbelievable and did not dissapoint. The best part was standing on the bridge and being eye level with the lake! Trippy!

Completed the Bass Lake Trail. A great trail to wander around and enjoy being in the clean air of the north.

Completed the Dry Lake loop. A nice, moderate trail for those looking for more than just a path in the woods yet nothing too challenging. The loop we completed was a decent mix of wooded hiking and shoreside views of Dry and Little Dry Lakes (though you have to be willing to go off the main path for some of those views). Would recommend!

Beautiful trail, but neglected. Not being a local, we often wondered if we were on the right path. There were trees down causing us to climb over, or around where we were able. That said, we throughly enjoyed ourselves. The weather was misty and in the mid 50s.

Nice trail, however I would rate it as more of a moderate hike. There is not a whole lot of incline, but you are hiking on rocks and roots for much of the hike.

Trail is quite overgrown, and the rocks and roots and a few rocky steep parts might make the difficulty level slightly more toward moderate than easy. Nevertheless, there are some lovely lake views and we saw lots of fungi which were interesting.
