Well maintained trails

This loop is currently closed to hikers as it is now for cross country skiing. A little confusing to figure out where you can and can’t hike! Lots of wildlife to see, beautiful views of the lake. Just frustrating to not know where you can and can’t hike!

The trail was well kept and marked very well, easy to follow. Great conditions and beautiful views through the forest and around several lakes.

Beware-some of the trails at Wirth are closed, but still plenty open to explore!

Trail was not labeled and very confusing to find the trailhead! But, pretty leaves however not much for a view.

As usual very nice trail, a few hikers on week day and a few trees down blocking trails.

The Elm Creek single track trail is a great place for beginners with a variety of features for all levels. I recommend the back diamond for technical features and the lower blue loop for flow and small jumps. There is a massive jump trail on the blue on your way from the black to the trail head. I highly recommend going to Elm Creek but expect to be there for a good few hours, to do all the trails it will take about 3 to 4 hours so plan accordingly.

Our hike was a cold morning, which was nice because the mud was mostly frozen. There were multiple mud spots throughout. Also, the plank bridges over water were slightly submerged. This made getting through more challenging. It didn’t stop us, but it may have for others. It is a very rocky trail also which gave the feet a good workout. Hiking/trekking poles and waterproof footwear a must! A beautiful hike!

Lebanin Hills has great trails that are clearly marked. We saw so many fall colors, some wildlife, and lots of dogs :)

Trails are very tricky and misleading around campgrounds. Overall it’s flat but on the red trail there’s a few descents, half trail or north side is meadow and the wood.

Amazing hike! Gorgeous scenery, especially in the fall.

we walk our dogs there.

Beautiful, but the trail map seemed inconsistent between the walking and biking trails. Just follow the well marked hiking signs.

There’s only 3 miles of the Cannon Trail open if starting in Cannon Falls. We added 3 more on the connecting Mill Town (?) State Trail, a nice trail basically ending at a very scenic dam. There’s a little extra distance after the dam to a campground and/or park. So, short mileage but very pretty.
