I bet it is a great trail typically, but it was so rainy and full of mosquitos that we hard to turn around - about the worst I have every seen, but it is a marsh. Even DET did not detour them. The neat thing was there were tons of little frogs all over the trail.

not a great trail, more golf disc course, disappointed as was looking for more of a hike...

Some beautiful parts to this little loop here and a little amphitheater too. I will definitely be going back to the point of the peninsula on the south side for some good sitting and thinking time on the shore of Albert Lea lake.

I rode the whole paved section with my road bike. Little bumpy in a few spots but over all a very nice ride. Beautiful view, some areas offer more seclusion than others. Couple steep hill sections that were exhilarating to descend and horrifying to ascend but great if you intended a workout!

Walked the Golden Point Peninsula by Frank Hall Park just off of Front Street. The Peninsula is bustling with birds, even saw a turkey and a goose sitting on a nest of eggs. Two benches on the little trail and two more on either exit/entrance along the blazing star trail along Front Street. Also has a great geocache to look for!

I spent about an hour two days in a row hiking the trails around Bancroft Bay Park. They seem to be two semi-separate loop back trails combined for the purpose of connecting a disc golf course. Surrounded by Fountain Lake's North Bay, this semi-secluded trail has plenty of potential to prolong your time out, between a large disc golf course, a expansive open park area, campfire rings with stone seating, and some great areas I'd like to throw up a hammock, you could easily spend an entire day here. Which I plan to do later this spring when the weather warms up. I really think Bancroft Bay deserves its own profile on AllTrails, but for now I'll review it here so people can see this great option that's so close to home!

I hiked the Hiking Club trail...6.2mi I believe. Great hiking trail through forested areas, near campground and Albert Lee Lake, grasslands and a few smaller hills. My July hike was pretty warm...probably in the 90s and sunny so bring sunscreen and water as once on the trail, there is little opportunity to stop and get a drink.
Quiet hike in a nice park.

This trail makes up the south west quadrant of the greater Big Island State Park area. I found it to be in prime fall condition as I hiked it with my wife, sister, and two dogs!

Trail was in prime spring condition! Despite the recently downed limbs all around town due to a recent May snowstorm, the trail had already been cleared of debris. This is an extremely popular walking spot for locals.

Snowshoed this trail today with my wife and had a great time! The trail is well-marked and in good condition. The terrain is very mild; almost completely flat, with very limited elevation change, which makes it great for all ages. We also were lucky to see a small herd of deer crossing the frozen lake!

Several great trail options for biking, hiking, and walking.

This trail offers two small paved loops (roughly 1.5 mile if you do both) for those who would like a quick ride/walk, or you can take the out and back bike/walking trail out to Big Island Myre State Park, where the paved trail continues for several more miles before turning to gravel and ending a mile or so later at the train tracks.
