We really enjoyed this trail. Many different elevations make for a nice work out and a getaway from the general plains of Michigan.

Dec 31– fresh soft snow and about 3 cyclists on trail

Hiked the equestrian trials west of Teggerdine Road on 12/28/19. Trail is quite muddy and slippery in places and blocked in spots by downed trees. Hunters present. A flowing creek crossing calls for hiking poles. Scenery is marred by electric towers, mowed utility easement, and the roar of the nearby roads.

Great walk n the woods. I did this loop plus added some of the “green” trail in the southwest part of the loop. Moderate trending towards easy. Mostly flat, no roots/rocks. Very well marked, trail maps posted everywhere. Lots of options to shorten or lengthen your walk. Couple of sections in the eastern part of the loop where you may lose the trail if there are a lot of leaves, but just track yourself on your phone. You won’t get lost. On December 8th, 2019 there are no trail blockages. All trees have been cleared. And I didn’t see any horse manure. Enjoy!!!

As of November 1st, 2019, there is a massive tree that is downed about a mile in from the campground near the Haven Hill Barn. This tree is blocking the path entirely, and you can only get past it by army crawling underneath, or carefully climbing over. Hopefully this tree will be cleared soon. #hiking_hobbit_trails

Very pretty especially in fall. Unfortunately the majority of this route is shared by equestrian trails and I had to keep my head down to dodge horse piles the whole time.

Beautiful hike during October,

Easy hike with little traffic. On October 20 we were too late for maple colors. Nonetheless it was a pleasant walk.

This trail was amazing. Beautiful scenery!

Nice trail overall. Some stretches that had alot of horse manure. Very secluded and well kept other than that.

Enjoyed this trail. A TON of bikers.. so watch out.
