Nice, relaxing hike ( walk ) ..

Easy quick trail, neatly groomed with some stone steps and boardwalks in wetland areas. Views of Orchard and Uppwr Straights Lakes, fishing dock, picnic shelter. No dogs or bikes allowed.

A very nice quick, easy, secluded trail.

Very well kept trail, pretty scenery and I felt safe. It was an easy trail/not many hills, but great for a relaxing Sunday hike. Medium foot traffic with dogs on leashes. I look forward to going back when the trees are filled in.

Great trail as far as suburban Detroit is concerned. My wife and I have walked the West Bloomfield portion dozens of times and love it every time.

Me and my dad love to ride on the Clinton river trail. Its mostly level surface and gravel makes it a fun, and easy ride for bicyclists.
If you plan on riding all of its 40 miles, then you will have to go through the city of Pontiac -the only 'bad' part of the trail. The city streets make it hard to navigate and a little rough.
Overall, I enjoy this trail. Thank you Rails to Trails.

Great for biking, it also leads to some other trails that have more nature in it

beautiful little hike! easy to find parking, well marked trails with options to go further or stay close by. trail did get close to the road at one point. the sign said no lake access but there were a few spots you could walk right down to the water. would highly suggest this trail to solo hikers and families alike.

beautiful stroll through the woods. i live in arizona and came out to MI to visit family. my cousin and i did this hike in a little over an hour with lots of stopping to enjoy the scenery. this hike had a little bit of everything. we especially enjoyed walking along the edge of the creek and listening to all the frogs hop in as we went by. very very cool. when i come back for another visit i will make it a point to come back out here and hike again.

A pleasant and relaxing trail into the woods.

Easy, short, lightly traveled, parking lot is small.

My wife and I cycled this trail in the fall of 2013. It is a flat, hard pack linear trail. (We rode mountain bikes with front suspension and large volume tires which made the ride enjoyable) It was quite cool (around freezing) but sunny. Started at the Dequindre Rd trail head and cycled west to the Crooks Rd trail head. The first section was quite scenic thru the Bloomer Park area paralleling the north side of the Clinton river. We rode at a leisurely pace (8-10 mph stopping frequently for photo opportunities and to enjoy the vistas. A few of the street crossings were quite heavy with traffic travelling at 40-50 mph. Be cautious when crossing! All in all it was a pleasant out and back ride with a reward of hot apple cider and fresh sugar donuts at Yates Cider Mill just south of the Dequindre trail head.
