I've been taking my horse onto various parts of this trail. I like parking in Imlay City best because the footing is grass for miles. I have also parked near General Squire park and it's a little stoney there. I like riding from Leonard parking lot too because you can get off and on various loops on dirt roads and it would even be possible to ride into Addison Oaks park if you rode long enough. The end of the trail for horse riding is M- 24 because you can't go over the bridge and the traffic looked to busy to cross. Great riding for conditioning a horse though and I'm loving it!

Beautiful meadow views and wide open skies. I walk here frequently in summer and fall.

Beautiful trail hidden among the city. Lots of different plants and wildlife. Very common to see deer, which are quite tame.

Easy Rail Trail great for mountain biking as trail is smooth and paved. We start in Millington and bike south to the tiny town of Columbiaville. Grab lunch then return for a round trip of twenty miles.

This is a great idea for a trail, going through wetlands and lakes. The trail was easy and easy to follow. It could use some trail maintenance though.

Love running here. Really enjoy paint creek that runs along the trail.

9.5 miles each way to completely cover the trail. Even though almost perfectly flat it will take several hours to hike it, or from 1 to 2.5 hours to bike it, depending on how hard you push it.
The trail is very well maintained, in fantastic condition, and you can get some serious quiet time in. I've biked from end to end and back seeing only one other person. Trash receptacles are available every couple of miles.

I love this trail! I’m not sure about the length - it seems shorter than 3.2.

Great multi use trail. Perfect for your first ride or walk of the season. Also the trail goes West of Stockbridge into Munith and maybe further.

I love this trail mostly for biking but I’ve hiked a portion of it. Very wide and beautiful, clean and long!

Nice walk, especially once you’re south of the meijer and past 91 a bit. Saw a Great Blue Heron and muskrat off the boardwalk west of 91.

Easy , flat and due to winter , no one .
Well marked and worth the journey

This park is well maintained and safe. The trail is very scenic.

I agree with the prior review. I think about 70% of the trail is normal sidewalk through EGR. The other 30% is beautiful lakeside with nature. I personally like to use nature trails and it definitely feels weird to just walk through rich neighborhoods, then on to the east beltline, then back to suburban houses and businesses.

Good for a dog walk.

A 5 star hiking path it is not. There is as much path or sidewalk through winding subdivisions and along loud busy highways as along or in sight of the lake. There are no markings to know where the path is except for one posted map that find. There is always the sound of cars and trucks on the roads present.

Flat and straight. Not much shade. The path is in very good condition. I’d recommend biking or rollerblading it.
