We didn't hike the entire trail, but it was astonishing and beautiful. We saw moose and foxes, as well as many thimble berry bushes. Very remote and serene.

This is a pretty good trail. They made great use of the land they have. The trails could use some better signage, especially in the winter, as I would have not been able to follow the trail had it not been for the mountain bikers who had been there before me. But overall this is a pretty good trail!

Really cool trail! Lots of good scenery, and a brewery waiting at the other end for ya! Trail was super icy, but crampons save the day. Will definitely go back for a summer hike, this way we won’t have to walk the road back due to the lack of daylight. Definitely moderate.

Love running here. Really enjoy paint creek that runs along the trail.

Real easy trail and a great view. A must do if in the area.

this is a Boy Scout camp and there are signs saying no trespassing so doesn't look like a good place to hike unless you're a boy scout.

I wonder why this whole trail is not shown . I’ve hiked a portion of it around the north branch of the AuSable river. It’s well marked . There are some areas that could use some clearing but it’s a real nice walk with a mixed forest .

It's very pretty and very well taken care of. Nice and challenging enough and usually not to crazy busy on bikers and other hikers.

This is a nice, easy one mile loop in Rowden Park. Lightly traveled on a January Friday morning.

Took our dogs and 3 kids ages 4-8 and we all had a good time. We didn’t do the whole thing because it was getting dark but it was a very nice rustic trail.

My friends and I took the platt review kayak tour from a local shop there on the river. I can’t remember the name of it right off hand. Lots of people were “ca-brewing” through down the river. Took about 2 hours. Great price, easy, great fun. I’d certainly do it again.

Absolutely beautiful. Might be the most gorgeous view in the mid west. At the peak of the dune looking out it looked like the Pacific Ocean. I knew Michigan had sand dunes but this particular spot is breathtaking. *bring sunglasses and flip flops* maybe bug spray depending on the season.

Two stars might be a little harsh, but...the park is tiny, tightly surrounded by housing, and the lakes are small with limited views. Given that UM's Saginaw Forest trailhead is literally a few hundred yards down Wagner, I don't see stopping here unless you have a strong desire to see the First and Second Sister Lakes (or "Lakes") after seeing the Third in Saginaw Forest. Scio Forest is also nearby and offers a better nature experience, as does Lillie Park.
I'd leave this one for the neighborhood joggers and school field trips. Higher resolution versions of my pictures, as well as pictures of the other parks mentioned, are at https://johnmetzler.smugmug.com/Parks.

Hiked on a weekday and saw just one hiker and a couple bikers...good challenge and beautiful

good variety of landscape for a michigan trail. fun! can be hard to follow on the second half

This really is a nice spot that’s close to everything, yet secluded enough that you don’t hear other noises (traffic, homes near by, other hikers). Lots of trails that weave in an out of each other so watch out for other trail users!

This trail would be grand for snowshoeing! Winter hike with the sun cascading through the naked trees as we strolled along a trail matted with a mix of oak & maple leaves. Completely silent except for the occasional bird chirp and crack of ice as the water drains back into the Bad River from Muskrat Flats leaving the ice suspended clinging to tree trunks. Nice double loop walk.

Nice trail for all levels of experience. A bit muddy in spots.

inline sk8n at it's best...bring water and your big girl wheels...this is a clean, fast, fun ride. The initial hill is fun at the beginning of the ride and the last challenge climb at the end. Music is a motivator...come out and ride once and you'll be hooked.

Walking the dog here, my wife and I chose this first due to the distance. We’ve been here three times now, the first being on a 40-45 degree day where the grounds were soft and wet in places and also in the mid 20s where everything is frozen. This is a great quick hike/trail run that offers ample amounts of hills and a ton of great views to make the 2 miles go by extremely fast. It’s a great go to trail if you’re short on time but want a quick workout because of the few hills offered.

My wife and I walked our dog here on a brisk 28 degree day. Parking in the scenic overlook lot and taking a right to lead us through some wooded areas, around the gathering areas with pavilions, past the dam and beaches was boring. Once we got past the beach area the trail turned into a much better walk than it had started filled with wooded areas, tighter trails and plenty of sites. My GPS only tallied 3.7 miles but I would recommend this to anyone as it was an easier trail with minimal ascents and descents to be concerned about.

Great views at the end, trails were well marked, easy and peaceful hike

Fun trail and nice views of the river. Since it is a mountain bike trail it is a little hilly and twisty, but not too hard to walk.
