This was a shorter hike but it was harder in my opinion. It was kind of hard to find the start but once we got going we kept an eye out for the trailblazers on the trees. They aren’t super obvious so I’m glad we went during daylight or it’d have been hard to see those at night! The last bit of the trail had us literally scrambling up the rocks to see the dope views at the top. I kept having to seat black flies and mosquitoes off me but the views at the top were worth it!

Great trail for fall walk. Still lots of color but mostly on the ground. The lake was magnificent as always. Highly recommend!

Most incredible fall colors I’ve ever seen.

Beautiful and busy day for a hike! Dramatic weather - a bit of hail, making the trail slippery in spots - and even more dramatic views. Fall colors are peak!

For a more adventurous trek to the falls, use the Carp Eh' Diem trail for one of the directions. It will take you through the woods between the Carp River and the road and give you more views of the Carp River downstream of the falls.

Beautiful hike to a quite pond in the forest. The trail is full of rocks and roots so sturdy footwear is recommended. The trail is very well marked and splits about midway to Hog Back.

Don’t follow the all trails map to the trailhead, this is an old starting spot. The start is across the street from Wetmore landing trailhead. It was a beautiful hike and a good scramble at the end to a beautiful view! Would do again!

The overlook you get of Marquette when you get to the top is incredible, especially during fall.

We loved this trail! Beautiful waterfalls and views. The trail has a lot of exposed roots that you have to be careful with, but it is well worth it. We went in late September and the weather was wonderful.

One of my favorite trails in the UP. if you're in decent shape, trail should be no problem. it's about a mile or so in before you see the super duper fall.

Great trail but not nearly as good as Hogback Mountain. Not very challenging at all... it's just a bunch of stairs to get to the top. anyone can do it.

I like this trail way better than Sugarloaf... less crowds and way more scenic at the top.

All in favor of changing this to moderate say “I”!!!! For real, it was great and beautiful, but definitely not easy.

This is easy if you stop early in the trail but if you want to go farther this is more like moderate. But the farther you go the better it gets.

Quick hike, lots of stairs on the "Easy" route and more natural root steps on the difficult side. Amazing view! (Hiked July 2019)
