Beautiful trail! Highly recommend, no one on the trail in the early am.

Well maintained. Gorgeous views and great place to hike or to just sit and ponder.

Lots of shade, nice stream that runs through. Was muddy and some parts of trail were flooded out. Still nice.

I have no words for how beautiful this lake is. The water is so soft and there are mysterious poles on the left side of the lake you can stand on. The trails are beautiful and not too many people know about the place.

The entire path is paved, smooth, clean, and perfect for all "rolling" activities from quad skating, inline skating, scooters, bikes, wheelchairs. Remember to stay on the right side of the path to allow for smooth passing. :)

Accidentally ended up on the horse trail, but w nice walk nonetheless! Lots of trash cans throughout the trail, which was nice for disposing of doggy bags. Check for ticks after this hike!

Love it

Enjoyed the trails at Heritage Park today. Not muddy on any routes we took. Nature Discovery Trail was closed. Good balance of sun and shade depending on your route. Trails could be slightly better marked as there are random side trails/paths that can throw you off if you’re not familiar or if you don’t have a map. Not too busy on the trails but the picnic areas had a decent amount of people. I like that you can spend a short amount of time here or take your time and make an afternoon out of it. Can’t wait to come back!

Great easy trail pretty much all of it is well-maintained. There were a few muddy portions but that was due to the recent rain. In most muddy areas there are little branch paths to get around the bad sections. The little stream is a highlight. It is great if you have kids they will like to explore in that area. There is quite a bit of wildlife, squirrels, chipmunks, bull frogs, plenty of birds and we also saw some deer tracks around the pond. Be sure to check out, on the highway side of the trail, the big rock pile and multiple cairns. Try building your own, it is a real challenge balancing the rocks. While the trailhead was pretty crowded (Memorial Day) with people it wasn’t very bad at all out on the trail. The highway noise can be a bit much at times but overall a good easy hike that takes 1-2 hours.

Hard to judge this one based on today’s walk. We only made it 0.35 miles in before we had to turn around because of flooding. Having never walked here before we weren’t sure how deep the water was, plus it was kind of swampy and gross so we didn’t try to walk through it. We’ll give it another try during drier weather.

beautiful trail, and although there were more people than I am used to seeing it wasnt too bad. The birds and wildlife and views are beautiful. Ran across a handful of people talking so loudly on cellphones that it was annoying, other than that it was thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable.

Nice afternoon and early evening hike. It was warm today (86) and lots of mosquitoes biting my bite prone kid. We did get a little lost but enjoyed finding our way back.

First time on this trail and it was definitely muddy late this afternoon, especially the stretches around the pond on the dogwood trail loop. It’s nice that they have a bathroom at the parking lot. Lots of noise from the freeway makes it a bit less peaceful, and we experienced lots of bugs. The transitions from one named trail to the next were marked with signs, which was helpful. Used the map on the park website to help keep our route. However there were certain parts of the trail where the path was unclear and it was easy to get off-course. All things considered, though, an easy trail walk to spend 1-2 hours depending on your pace. It wasn’t too busy for a Sunday evening of a holiday weekend (about 5 cars in the parking lot when we arrived and when we left).

Awesome trail. A lot of rolling hills and well marked.

Easy trail. I gave it a 4 because at times you skirt a road and a parking lot. My kiddos loved the painted rocks along the way. It helped turn our 3 mi into a 4.6 mi--my 7 yo was motivated to finish the route instead of turning back bc of rocks. Most of the time we could walk 4 across. Was not muddy but there was a lot of water nearby which aided in bugs. We saw snakes, cranes, cardinals, bIue jays, and fish. It was nicely shaded. Before lunchtime did not see many people as we finished walking more people on trail.

What I saw was beautiful but unfortunately the water was so high it cut off about 1/3 of the trail unless you had rain boots or something. Will definitely have to try again though
