It begins as an easy hike through the beautiful woods and rows of pines-even though it was late November fall and trees were bare. The climb up was challenging yet comfortable as you can take all the time needed. I choose a path to head toward the beach with a sign cautioning that it’s not a marked trail. The rolling sand dunes were fun to climb. When I got to the end I enjoyed the peaceful setting overlooking Lake Michigan. The major suggestion I would have for the park is for the state to improve its signage. The maps did not show the distance of each trail. Since I had no cell phone service in the area I could not look it up either. I look forward to returning again next season.
