Good beginners trail. Not difficult really. Good view of the river.

Short, nearly flat loop through mature oak/hickory/black walnut/maple forest along the Huron River. Best part of the hike is the Huron River views near the beginning. Wide gravel trail is unmarked but easy to follow. Bugs are fairly bad during the summer. The $10 daily entrance fee gets you into EVERY Detroit metropark that day, so it's fun to go Metropark hopping and see how much bang for the buck you can get!

It's hard to beat a nice trail through the woods. A fairly wide meandering path with 15 or so marker posts. Good for kids, 2 miles, a few small hills but fairly flat. Not too many edibles apart from broadleaf plantain. Nice nature center. Good time for sure.

Trail s located in Oakwood Metro Park. This short but relaxing trail connects to the 1 mile Sky Come Down and the 3/4 mile Big Tree trails. all three are easy but enjoyable. best time is in the morning to view wildlife.we saw deer, squrils, snakes, and baby racoons. the nature center staff are frindly and helpful. the center is clean and welcoming. cant wait for fall and winter hikes here.
