Amazing views at the top!

Completed this hike last year while on the island. Absolutely amazing.

Great hike. What a payoff at the top. Most beautiful view.

This is a wonderful challenging hike. Enjoy the views, but stay alert. Say moose and sand hill cranes. Also the views from the ridge are stunning. Many board foot bridges. The one taking you over the beaver pond looks brand new.

This was a great trail to the tower. I didn’t have GPS signal until I reached the tower, so I was unable to track it. It’s mostly up hill so set your trekking poles short and and enjoy the climb. The view is stunning. Wind made it a bit chilly in mid August.

This is an amazing hike and a part of Isle Royale that should not be missed. Do yourself a favor and go all the way to the point. Bring a lunch and some water, you’ll not want to leave. The hike is easy/moderate and the views are stunning. There are a few side trails that even make it more spectacular. Take them. And also keep your eye open for moose. I saved this for the end of my 52 mile hike on Isle Royale. Dropped my pack at the dock and set off on this amazing trail.

Beatiful bluff at the top- and tons of blueberries if your timing is right.

It's a nice hike uphill through the forest, crosses path with an old logging road. The bluff at the end is windy, beautiful, and gives a great view of the forest to the south, and the harbor to the North.

The Greenstone Ridge Trail is the backbone of Isle Royale. Beginning from Mt. Ojibwa, the peak of this trail, the ridge steadily declines in elevation until near Chickenbone Lake. There are McCargoe Cove is a great campsite because it is less crowded than either E. or W. Chickenbone Lake sites. In addition, it has a communal fire pit and the cove is secluded and peaceful. This trail leads to the start of the Minong Ridge Trail.

1.7 mile hike from daisy farm camping area. The tower at the north end of the trial provides the longest and best views and a great place to have lunch. (by far the highlight of the trail. If I recall you can see the Michigan's Upper Peninsula from the tower to the south and Canada to the north. One of the highlights from my trip.
