Loved our hike!

Absolutely gorgeous forest! Flowers which attract butterflies. Deer. Paved path with some hills. Well maintained. Bathrooms on the southern end.

Enjoyed this hike with family including 2-, 3-, and 7-year-old and several young adults. There are a lot of trails and we needed the app GPS to get back on track, but some nice stops would have been missed if we hadn't strayed a bit . The "old man of the mountain" (a local) led us to the East Bay overlook and we went off-trail for most of the fairy gardens and a nice flower garden. We never actually found the trailhead, but found a parking area behind The Commons that brought us close. Paths were mostly wooded so it wasn't as hot as I feared at midday.

Nice trail. Easy walking. Good variety of scenery. Trail markings are so-so, but the app kept me on track

I just got off the trail and it was amazing! Gorgeous scenery and jumping off the falls was extremely epic! I will be back for this trail, for sure!

Amazing scenery

The falls are beautiful

Really nice trail, clear of most debris and well marked even when intersecting with other trails.
Note that the 3.7 Mile distance is one way! I didn’t read the description well enough and thought it was 3.7 total (out and back).

good place to see waterbirds; swans, herons, egrets. telescope to birdwatch, tall lookouts too.

Great, simple trail to do with our yellow lab! We did the small loop and came across a great view with a crystal clear lake where you can literally see fish swimming! Frogs and a small snake also greeted us along the way.

Completely unmarked trail as followed on this app, this leads to dune erosion!!!

We love to trail run here.

Lovely hike. We camped in the campground but next time will camp in dispersed campsite on West side. Pretty and easy/moderate hike. Our dog loved going for dips in the river. Will be back.

Very nice trail with really friendly hikers! Tried this trail out for the first time today and will definitely be back to explore it more! It was quiet and peaceful which is exactly what I needed. I also had the opportunity to chat with some fellow hikers along the way.

Not too challenging but not easy enough to be boring for people who are looking for something difficult. There were tons of kids and older people there when we went. Gorgeous falls. Really liked this spot and will definitely go again

I was encouraged to ride this trail since I wanted to have a long ride uninterrupted by traffic. This was great!! I rode from Comstock Park to Sand Lake (~42.5 miles) starting out in the morning. It was pretty chill and not crowded, except for downtown Rockford area. It was covered by trees until you are in downtown areas and beyond Cedar Springs. There is a mild incline going north, but very manageable. I recommend this trail for anyone who wants to ride a long distance and maybe stop along the way.

great trail, well maintained but signage is confusing and missing in spots. Bring a map and a compass.

I moved to Richmond so I could ride this trail whenever I want to. Great trail.

Fun first time. I have never mountain bikes before. Had a blast

7 different loops that add up to about ten miles. Just follow the signs with the number of loop you want to be on

This hike is very well marked in either side of the trailheads not so much in the middle. It is 12 miles all around NOT 9.1 as stated on AlllTrails or 10
as stated on the trailhead markers. It is 12.0 miles per 2 iPhones and a Fitbit. Nice walking path by several lakes and through the woods. Not many bugs late July. Be prepared for a longer walk than advertised. We averaged about 2 mph. .

Pretty hike. Easy to moderate. Nice to get side tracked for a dip in the pine. Dog loved it.

Lots of stairs, but the view from the top can’t be beat!! Amazing views!

Beautiful views and the informational signs were very helpful to understand the landscape and history of the area.
