Commerce Twp, Michigan Map

Bring your GPS. It’s easy to get off the main paths.

Although the trail is beautiful, I'm giving it a low rating for a couple of reasons: 1. the trail blazers are virtually all missing so most of the time you have no idea where the heck you are; 2. the intersection markers/maps are defaced by gunshot and are difficult to impossible to read so again, good luck figuring out where you are; 3. although the trail starts out wide and easy to see, it peters out in places to the point of being difficult to impossible to see...for awhile I'm not sure I was even on the trail anymore. it's a pretty park and it's a darn shame the blazes and trail intersections aren't given a little love. I doubt I'll hike here again

Excellent trails

These trails are great for a good walk, being out with the family or dogs. Not a whole lot of variation in the terrain.

Love Proud Lake and its extremely scenic Huron River and pine trees. Feels like you're up north.

Nice and easy 5 mile trail. Saw an owl catch a snake, that was awesome. Moderately busy but wasn't too bad.

It's a pretty basic Michigan trail - nicely shaded but not a lot to look at. A highlight is there are some walkways on the bog that are fun to walk along and feel the bounce of.

We visited yesterday for the first time and were pleased. The trails do get narrow in spots, but are overall pretty easy to navigate. Dogs welcome, on leash. The paths are well shaded, but I imagine could be buggy if the weather conditions were humid.

A bunch of trails but not always marked very well.

So many trails. I hike this park with my family or solo often. Easy to maneuver. The Marsh Trail is a great change up from hiking the traditional trail head. Lovely old pine forests, river, lake, marsh, lots of boardwalks. Really a wonderful gem here in Michigan. Wonderful hike for families.

trail to upward north is partially overgrown and difficult to navigate with some closed off areas. overall, great hike for beginners with several outhouses along the paths.

Proud Lake trails are vey easy and well marked. There is a nice simple loop around a marsh area. Also trails lead to the Huron River's edge. It's very shady and wooded.

This is also a popular X-Country Ski spot. It's rather flat so nice for beginners.
