Short, but worth the climb for the overview of Saugatuck and Douglas.

Many paths to choose from. This was my first time here and the trails had quite a bit of hard snow and ice. Even in the winter there are some great vantage points of the streams throughout the wooded areas. The ledges were pretty covered in snow so I didn’t get to see all of their glory but I’ll be back when it warms up.

These are great trails. I was very impressed with the maintenance of the trails and the beauty of the woods and nature. I highly recommend this trail. It should be noted that it is not officially open to hikers in the winter . . . it is used for biking and skiing.

I completed this as a winter hike from the Holland Ponds entrance to Yates Cider Mill. Although the mill was closed, it was a pretty challenging hike in the snow and cold weather. This same hike in the good weather months is barely moderate. I'm hoping to complete a hike using all of these connecting trail sections to hike from Sterling Heights City Hall to Yates Cider Mill come spring. Not sure why Holland Ponds isn't listed on this app.

Great trip snowshoeing with pack round trip. A bit of stealth winter camping, please don't tell!

I may be biased, but this is my favorite trail in all of Midland. It winds through many different zones and is absolutely beautiful when the snow falls.

This is a fairly easy almost 5 miles through a nice mix of pines, wetlands and general forest.

Fun snow hike. It started snowing pretty heavy and it looked amazing falling down among the tall trees and ravines.

Lots of bikes and trails are not marked well. Also lots of people with unleashed dogs. However, it was pretty and an easy walk

I hiked this trail on 2/10/19. The edges of the lake were frozen and it was really beautiful although the temp was 17, I could have stayed there all day.

The trail itself is gently rolling, shady, peaceful, well marked, and well maintained. It is pretty short, the summer can get buggy due some standing water, and traffic can be heard clearly from most of the trail. I walk this trail pretty frequently because it's very close to my house, and I would recommend it for people looking for a light walk who want to bring their pets.

This trail is great. I unfortunately ran out of time to do the whole trail, but I plan to come back and do it another time. The scenery was great and the trails were well marked and maintained. Highly recommended!

It was fun to learn a little about owl habitats and behaviors. People aren’t picking up their dog poop so that kind of sucked.

The trail is mostly wooded and when we walked in the Spring plenty of deer. Since it is at Hidden Lake gardens you can make it a day and enjoy the hike and drive.”
