Big Rapids, Michigan Map

Our experience wasn't much different than others here. Sometimes the trail markers are confusing, so we used All Trails map and our location marker to figure it out. This 3.3 mile trail actually cuts your hike short of the marked trail. Only saw two people on horseback. We followed the trail in a clockwise loop, so the last 1/4 mile was the horse trail and was very soft sand. Have to pay $5.00 day-use fee. Enjoyable hike for this time of year imagine there would be lots of bugs in warmer weather.

Nice 6 mile loop. Some 2 track and some trail

First this is a bike trail most of all. When you get to the road, take the road! Also map it! I went 2 miles further than I should have and either could loop it or turn back. A 3.3 turned into a 10.11. There is not much beauty. The trails are overgrown and at times you can barley find them. The yellow arrows sometimes leave you wondering...ummmm. The leaves cover the roots so there are a lot of...oops. Overall it felt good. Last warning the deer run at you...like at you, at you. Yelling does not help to see that they change course.

tail were a little over grown but not terrible. kids and pup loved it. great place to go get lost in nature and teach my little ones to leave it better than we found it. only concern is we noticed alot of trash by some of the trails.

Our favorite place to ride our horses!

It is good but not well marked

Had a wonderful walk in the woods with the family today on this trail. It’s fairly well marked but several time we reviewed the map to make sure we were taking the right branch. The road getting to the trail was a bit soupy from the spring thaw, but the trail was fine. It’s a perfect spring or fall trail.

First time on trail, difficult to follow so we piecemealed our way. Pup loved it

Great local trail. Can be hard to follow at times, especially when you are new to it. Look for the yellow diamonds. Some have arrows and some do not. Trail intersects some roads and horse trails in spots. Not as hard packed as some MTB trails, but provides a unique challenge. GREAT place to build up riding endurance and strength.

Amazing! Beautiful riding country! Can't wait to go back!

Cran-Hill Ranch offers many amenities including a great nature trail. This trial features small hills, Cranberry Lake and benches along the way. One treasure is 'Two Springs' where hikers can fill their water from the cool natural spring. Featuring rolling hills and lots of shade...this trail is great for an hour or two hike with the kids. Afterwards, cool off with ice cream at the general store or swimming in Hill Lake. Use of the trail or lake does require a day pass.

We had the forest to ourselves it seemed. Very beautiful and tranquil. Started at Horse Day Use Trail Head then turned onto the "A" mountain bike trail. The bike trails are excellent for hiking. Saw deer, wild turkeys, chipmunks and frogs during our 5-mile loop that took about 2 hours. Stopped several times to notice natures little wonders.

Had a great time and took my girls that I was counseling. Very beautiful lake and very clean. Had a blast! Such a gorgeous place

good, technical trail. fairly well maintained. good hard ride. bi-directional trail with relatively little traffic.
