good place to see waterbirds; swans, herons, egrets. telescope to birdwatch, tall lookouts too.

I really liked this trail. I’m not sure where the 6 miles comes from but the loop is around 2.7 miles. The trail is flat and well maintained. It wasn’t crowded at all and it was great for my dog.

played here as a child

Loved it there. Lots of features and wildlife.

I ride this trail at least 3 times a week, there is additional 7 miles added to this trail. This trail goes to the Bay City Recreational Area and Tobico Marsh.

Went the whole loop, only logged 2.8 miles. Beautiful little walk.

Flat loop around the Bay City State Recreational Area / Tobico Marsh. Not too much for views, but a good trail for biking / dog walking. You can continue on the trail to the beach for a dip as well. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wide, (seemingly) dead flat loop trail. Two observation towers lift you 3 stories above the forest floor and give nice views out into the marsh. As with most wetlands, how much water you will find on and beside the trail depends on what time of year you come here. Wear bug spray with at least 40% deet during the summer. Wildlife viewing not the best due to the dense woods.

One of my favorite local hikes. Well-shaded with ample opportunity to see birds and wildlife. FYI: No strong view of Lake Huron.

My favorite spot to walk. Lots of critters to see, as well as many birds. Part of the migration of warblers, and many waterfowl. Climb the towers for a great view of the marsh.

One of my favorite rides of the summer. The path is the a wooded area covered with ferns. Some small rolling hills which were great fun! Observation deck offered beautiful views of the wetlands.

Flat as a pancake but a nice short loop not too far out of town. Nice when you need a quick dose of the great outdoors. Dog loves it as well. Also a good place to get the kids started with mountain bikes.
