Great ocean hike! Well worth it....

Challenging walk upon long 1/2 mile rock jetty from Ptown Inn and then in soft sand once on Long Point. Can get hot so bring water, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses. Beware of high tide as it can cover the jetty and strand you preventing your return trip!! Long Point is isolated, serene, tranquil, bird inhabited (careful as some birds are teritorial & will dive bomb you!!), & can be buggy. In gereral a challenging hike over water (jetty) and over soft sand

What a beautiful hike. Hiking along the jetty and beach is surprisingly more difficult than expected. It is not a difficult hike but you do a bit more work walking on the sand than you would on a hard trail.

Absolutely beautiful. Empty beaches with stunning views. I would not rate this as difficult and we don’t hike often.

Nice place to walk, but a bit of a challenge slogging through the sand

Great hike with amazing views, make sure to go while the tide is going out so you don't get stuck.

First mile over the breakwater requires some agility - not a lot, but some - from there, the open water side of the peninsula is solitary and beautiful. While swimming several seals popped up nearby. It was a unique experience. The water is crystal clear. The route is rated difficult because after the rocky breakwater, it's 4 miles of soft sand. When at last you return to solid ground, you feel like a gazelle. It's worth the drive out...definitely.

I'd call it more of a walk than a hike. Gorgeous and sandy.

Great hike. Awesome scenery. It depends what you are used to doing (not as hard as a mountain hike) I wouldn't rate as difficult. On a nice June day it would be a cool walk on the beach. We did it on 30 degree day with 40 mph winds. Loved the challenge!

Excellent hike! Although it is strenuous and definitely takes it's toll on your body, this hike provides stunning views of Cape Cod and the beaches and ocean. It is also very exciting to simply say you've hiked to the absolute tip of Cape Cod.
