This is a gorgeous and well-maintained trail that keeps you in stands of tall pine throughout the hike. The path is wide and level. There are several nice boardwalks along the way that allow views of the surrounding wetlands. It's a great place to get in some wildlife viewing - saw a turtle, a few orioles, and even two nonvenomous snakes to the side of the trail. The trail looks ideal for bringing kids for a family walk. Bring some bug spray during the warmer months. The parking lot fits about 8 cars, so you might want to get there early for a spot.

Flat, well-worn trails throughout the entire refuge. Grab a map online or from the visitor center because there’s so many trails! No pets allowed but lots of bikers, walkers & runners - can get very busy on weekends. Plenty of parking.

I agree this a bit more moderate-to-easy than just straight moderate due to a few steep climbs and descents, but was a great training hike for me with a full pack after hiking Callahan State Park earlier in the day. Lots to explore - would be a great place to take kiddos (maybe not this particular route, though).

Wide trails and very well marked. The summit did have a nice view. Overall it was ok.

Great fun - note significant elevation. I'd call this a moderate hike. Some beautiful vistas.

Went last weekend. Beginning of Monson was muddy. Great view from Tipping Rock. Overall fun seeing the scouts’ cabins and well water pumps along the way.

Beautiful area, many well-marked trails

OK so I tried it again after I sat in my car for a little while, and then I saw more people come on the trail. Went for it and actually went a bit beyond the peak. It was awesome; glad I did it, can’t wait to do it again and explore more trails!!!

Great trails, however some areas were too flooded to be passible at this time of year. The trails that were clear, however, were very nice.

What a great spot... wide trails, good views, and tons of trails. Can’t wait to go back and try some new routes.

Did up and down to Nobscot hill this time since I was short on time... really great practice trail. There is a nice view point just before the firetower. I'm becoming a big fan of nobscot reservation...

Some parts of the trail are flooded out right now, but really pleasant walk and not crowded at all!

Decent trails. The Boy Scout buildings sort of threw off the feeling of being in the woods but it’s a nice area.

Fun easy trail clearly marked if you get to the top there’s a tower can’t get inside

I recommend this trail to anybody looking for a adventure

this is great trail for jogging if you're not looking for hills. It's a relatively flat throughout. There are some areas to get by a beaver dam that can be a little wet muddy sometimes. The terrain has some Roots but other than that fairly even for jogging
