Great hike! It was a nice mixture of ascent, rock scrambles, and great views of the area. It doesn't at all feel like you are so close to Boston, it feels much more like being in a state park in New Hampshire. On our hike here we had a mixture of experienced and very inexperienced hikers and it was fun and challenging for everyone. There were several rock scrambles going down that were challenging but easy enough that the inexperienced hikers in the group had no issues with it at all. Overall this hike took 5 hours and 10 minutes and was a total of 8.0 miles. Our average speed was 1.55mph, which is an average pace. Make sure you have the trail on your phone/Garmin/map since there are a few intersections/trails that are not marked well. Overall though things are marked pretty well. The parking lot was in a nice open area and I felt that my car was safe being unattended. I highly recommend this hike!

We ended up just sticking to the skyline trail and heading back that way as well, but it was very enjoyable. Pretty easy to follow, we didn’t hit any mid at this point at the end of May and it wasn’t buggy. I would say it’s true to the moderate rating as there weren’t any points where it was difficult, but there were a few rock scrambles to keep it fun. A few good view points too.

Some parts were hard to navigate. Most portions were moderate to hard. Overall great variety of good views, rocks, up hill and grassy pathways.

This trail is easy to follow with the trees being marked. It has a couple of steep, rocky inclines but nothing too crazy. Be careful on downhill paths with loose rocks, you can potentially fall if you aren’t paying attention.

Fun hike, large sections of very steep rock

Easy trail, only moderate in a few spots

Trail was nice for the most part with some good views. The terrain it covered was a good mix of rocky, flats with ups and downs that weren’t to strenuous. At trail intersections you have to really pay attention unfortunately makings weren’t the best. I’d definitely do it again and possibly tie it in to a larger loop

I thought this was fun trail, especially to do with dogs. The view was totally worth it. Only a lil muddy in the spring. Was kinda crowded but as to be expected. Was engaging and pretty. Lots of really quiet moments! Definitely recommend.

10/10!!! This hike was so much fun! The view was beautiful. Perfect for active dogs.
