The trailhead from Cedar Hill Street is not easy to find. I went via the office building parking lot just across the street from Forest Street. If you drive around the parking lot behind Piedmont Plastics it's in a corner of the lot and you can just see the little trail head sign. The trail is lovely, but there is construction on one side of the loop, which is closed so you can only go out and back (take the trail to the right, the left hand trail is closed)- There's currently no loop. It winds through pretty meadows and there are nice views from the top of the hill. It is very quiet - I saw only one other dog-walker in my hour there on a Sunday morning. Trail is pretty easy, slow rises, but there are some rocky spots. Dogs love it; check for ticks after!

Easy well marked trail. Lots of dog walkers. Once past the open field section, the trail is less trafficked and more secluded, but you're still not in the wilderness. The trail skirts residential neighborhoods. Nice boardwalks and marshland areas. If you continue onto the road and over to the second section, the trail is even more secluded and lightly used. This section has cool pontoon bridges and benches, also signs of beaver and deer. In my opinion, this section was the part of the hike. Not strenuous and very little elevation gain.

TRAIL CLOSED DUE TO CONSTRUCTION appears at END of trail. Have to turn around and repeat hike. Would be great find otherwise

Nice place to take the dog. Woods, open fields, streams, enjoyed it all:)

Love this trail.

A construction site now blocks part of the loop (NE corner) so I had to backtrack to Plantation Trail but it's a pretty walk.

I'm a pretty easy rater but this was pretty boring. A dirt road that crosses a brook and then mostly wide open fields . Good for dogs , I think would be good for dirt bikes also . Wouldn't come back .

A nice, mostly level hike, good for finding wildflowers, birds. A cute boardwalk over a marsh and through a meadow.

Perfect short trail for a quick hike. Has numerous level changes to keep things interesting. Have been using this trail since early spring. As of June 2017 however, it is slightly overgrown and is in need of a little maintenance.

Hidden gem! Hiked for over an hour with my dog and didn't see one person. To avoid construction you must make a loop with plantation trail.

Probably great in the winter. Currently a section is closed due to construction. There is lots of poison ivy. Our group of three got 6 dog ticks. There were also bug bites from few mosquitos and lots of horse flies. There were some nice raspberries and blackberries at the top of Cedar hill.

Does anyone know what that abandoned building you come across at the end of cedar hill trail used to be?

Nice easy walk through a wooded area, not too isolated. Parking is unclear though.
