This is one of the many very nice parks in New Bedford. The walk is around the perimeter of the park, pond, zoo, ball fields, and woods. Very busy traffic on the roads adjacent to the park. Accessible for wheelchairs and strollers.

I usually walk down near the end of the hurricane barrier and if it's low tide I'll cross over to Palmers island and loop it, cool lighthouse.

Beautiful views of Clark's Cove and Buzzard's Bay. Many boats from the Community Boating Center in the Cove.

Fabulous views across the harbor to Sconticut Neck. Ferries, fishing and pleasure boats coming and going from harbor. Sea birds of all kinds. Palmer Island accessible at low tide. Butler Flats and Palmer Island lighthouse views
