Parking in Marlborough is on Jefferson Street across the street from Kelleher Field. Walk down a small hill to trail. There are at least 12 parking spots.

Nice short easy hike in the woods.

Ok not very long

Decent hike. The first half of the loop was more like 1.75 so I kept going another .25 to make it an even 4 miles. Easy hike, felt like I was hiking in people’s backyards some of the time, but definitely an easy hike for all levels.

Diggin' this rail trail! I grew up in Hudson and even got to watch the building of some of this trail. It's great for a long walk, a jog or bike ride. And it's beautifully scenic as it scrolls along the Assabet River and through the ever-growing downtown Hudson area and into Marlborough. Worth the hike, check it out. (Park in Hudson. No parking reported in Marlborough.)

Quick hike, nice in the winter!

This was an unplanned hike .I drove by entrance and had a few minutes to hike . Nice trails that go thru woods and cornfields . Most of water and streams seem to be dry .My low score is based on junk cars along the trails

This trail was a surprise in a good way. It takes you through the bustle of Marlborough and Hudson. The many stops to cross busy roads will slow you down. However, it has many little treasures to make it unique. There is a scenic view overlooking Fort Meadow Reservoir, sections of wooded areas, a tunnel mural, and art along the Hudson section of the trail. I parked on Jefferson Street in Marlborough in the Kelleher parking lot across from Kelleher Field. There are at least eight spots and the trail is RIGHT there. Will definitely explore this trail again.

Nice trail! Saw a coyote along the trail. Nice brook crosses trail. Lots of photo opportunities.

Beautiful hike but very short, it took me less than 15 minutes to do, not something to plan your day around. The top is really nice and has a massive tree, it looks like something out of Harry Potter. There is a bench by the tree where you can sit and relax at the quiet summit.

Clear woodsy well marked out and back.

Great trail for running, biking, walking your dog or any kind of experience. I went here for a bike ride and loved it. The trail is very clean and the soil is hard pack, making it a great bike trail. The trail goes along the railroad tracks the whole way making it easy to follow. There are some great side trails to explore when you cross Hopbrook Marsh Conservation. If you have time those are definitely worth checking out. Just a warning, right before you cross Union Avenue, the trail becomes too overgrown to continue and terminates long before the map says it does. There is still many miles of trail available before that so that shouldn't discourage you. I will definitely be returning to this trail again and I would definitely recommend it.

Open, clearly marked trails. Different landscapes to see from forest to meadow to lake-side - mostly shaded. Fun hike with the kids.

Short and sweet. Nice elevation gain. Good quick workout on the bicycle.

An easy-to-moderate 1-1.5 hour loop that takes you past the lovely little Beebe Pond. Trail is well-maintained for the most part. Many confusing junctions, so pay attention to your map or AllTrails. Beautiful open forest crossed by the remains of many old rock walls from when this was farm land in the 19th century.

This hike is one of those urban gems - the chance to feel like you're in deep woods while you're in the center of an urbanized area. Added bonus is the loop to the summit of Mt. Ward, really just a large hill, which gives you some elevation gain for extra exercise, and has a pleasant bench under a curious-looking old maple tree at its summit. This version of the trail starts and ends from a nice little parking area with a trailhead map station. You'll find the trailhead parking on the driveway just to the left of the Alltop Mobile gas station on Rt. 20 (Boston Post Road) across from The Home Depot and Dunkin Donuts.

Much better to start at the actual trailhead which is next to the Nissan-Toyota dealership storage lot behind the Alltop gas station on Rt 20 (Boston Post Road). Look for the driveway to the left of the gas station next to the car wash. Trailhead with a nice parking lot is just before the dealership lot on the right.

Starting from there adds just 1/2 mile each way, but gives you a decent place to park, and there's a trail map there that you can photograph with your phone to help. This trail joins the Mount Ward loop at the gas line cut-through (the long straight section in the map here). You turn right at the gas line clearing and then watch carefully for a trail sign pointing left and up Mt. Ward.

Coming back can be a bit confusing. After descending Mt. Ward you'll come back to the gas line cut-through, but at a different point. Follow the gas line until shortly after crossing a little three-log bridge you'll see a trail to the left. That's the trail back to the parking lot that you came in on. Turn left and then immediately you come to a T where you could go either way. it's not marked, but turning right here takes you back to the parking lot

For a full map of my route, see my recording attached to this trail.

Google maps gave bad directions. Dumped on too gas pipeline before finding trail. Trail looks like it was marked for another starting point. Hike was bad.

Paved bike path. Be prepared to see a lot of Marlboro & Hudson. I didn't see any parking on the Marlboro side where directions take you, ended up Peking t hospital bed walking 1/4 mile down. Lots of parking on Hudson end on Main St.

Easy trail. Well marked. Good for trail running if you want a short quick one. Not too many rocks and roots. just enough to give you a bit of practice on this type of obstacle while trail running. pretty scenic, a bit of a climb up to the top but not too bad of a descent if you do the loop. watch out in the fall after the leaves come down. they're really slippery especially on the downhills!

more of a bike trail

I'm not a biker but i thoroughly enjoy running on this trail. It is clean and paved and also marked you can tell how far you've run.

This is listed as a mountain biking trail, but it is completely paved. A fine trail for cruisers and hybrids, but too slow for road bikes, and there are no mountain biking sections.

I only completed the first half of the trail. the pavement was mostly smooth and wide enough for bikers and walkers. there were some beautiful views of lakes in the beginning. Mile 3.5-4 was a bit more in the city. Nice ride

This is an easy walk. Family, fishing, and dog friendly BUT the trails are poor the area is more used as an off leash dog swimming area. The area gave me an off feeling and some people had no control of their dogs. I did not let mine off leash. I won't go back.
