Great little place full off historical sites! A great place to visit!!!

Nice hike, but it was extremely buggy today. Definitely bring your bug spray. Nice hike for kids and dog. Most of the trail is marked, but some parts aren't so be aware.

this is my kids favorite local hike! They call it the "haunted woods". If you are bringing kiddos follow the yellow arrows you will come to "the great climbing tree" the "stairs to nowhere" and the abandoned car (1952 Packard). Lots & lots of unleashed dogs but all we have encountered thru the years are super friendly along with the owners :) truly a beautiful place to explore & walk

Great trails and easy for everyone. Very dog friendly. Beware of the coyotes, there are at least two packs and some are rather large (100 lbs). They can really put up a racket after sunset and when an emergency vehicle goes by with the siren on.

Parking available.

Great trail system for hiking, running and biking. The local mtn bike community does a great job maintaining the trails.

Lots of different terrain. Due to its proximity, it is a very convenient place for us to walk, the dog can run and swim freely. On clear days, especially when the trees are bare, you can see Mounts Wachusett and Monadnock from the summit. It’s easy to get lost if you don’t know your way around, but the trail system has been improved over the last few years.

Luckily, the blazing, signage, and overall quality of the conservation area have improved over the last few years.

Nice little loop trail, no summit to speak of but a pond and some rocky outcroppings. Easy and quick.

Really wonderful area, feel like you are in the backcountry right in the middle of lexington.

Super fun walk and very dog friendly!

This is a very large trail system. Although landlocked, you really do feel like you are deep in the forest (despite hearing the highway traffic in some areas). Hikers do need to take caution, as these trails are primarily used for mountain biking. I actually kept one headphone out so that I could hear anyone coming up behind me so I could step aside. I covered about 3-4 miles, and probably passed 8-10 bikers. Overall, a great, well marked trail with a lot of cool boardwalks, and trail variation. Can get buggy!

no trails. needed a machete to break thru all the thorns and branches. very disappointing.

Went for run here, many options for trails. Mostly wooded once your off power lines, just get your bearings before heading in because many trails divide again and again. Used yellow trail mostly, great run but had to resort to trail map near end to get back because not marked at every fork. Great spot to enjoy!

Nice lowland trails though fields and piney woods. Great for kids to run around. Did see two resident coyotes that locals said were not a problem. But be aware with dogs off leash. Trails are not marked well but all loop around a short distance back to main trail.

So many bugs :-( but it was also humid that day in August so... Not our favorite but we will try it again another time.

I spend a lot of time on these trails. Good variety of terrain so close to Boston. Also a good amount of wildlife, including deer, foxes and owls.

I've hiked these trails a few times but this was my first MTB ride here. Not quite the experience I was looking for this time around (wider, flatter trails), but I had fun nonetheless. Trails are very narrow at times, almost always rocky with lots of roots. Despite many boardwalks and bridges I managed to find some mud, even though it hasn't rained in days. The Milk Crate trail was fantastic, with numerous switchbacks and drops - highly recommended if you're intermediate/advanced.

The paths are well worn and easy to follow. Good for a convenient local walk.

A fun mountain biking trail.

My favorite mountain biking spot in the area! Lots of variety and intermediate level trails. Rocky, Rooty trails with lots of swooping downhill single track and very well maintained. Some technical stuff has been built if you can find it. Also wood planks and raised sections around.

Nice place to walk. Second growth forest with very well maintained trails. Very clean but a little close to the highway.

Full of ticks. I pulled over a dozen dog ticks off our papillon. The East side was pleasant enough, the West very noisy due to the highway. There were many mountain bicyclists as well so we found ourselves stepping aside rather often.

What a cool place, large enough with lots of loops to get lost in for a couple hours - if you're on foot, probably the same if you're mountain biking - and you should. The trails are very well maintained with many boardwalks and clear markers. Saw fresh tire marks in the snow, so people bike it even in 20F. Gets loud if you're closer to the highway, but absolutely tranquil if you're on the western side. Definitely adding to my list of winter hikes.

Short trail which sometimes runs along residential backyards. No marked trails but not an issue with such a small hike. Nice short walk overall.

A decent trail for a quick walk. Right near my house. I often trail run this as well. The climb up Whipple hill is nice and the view is refreshing.
