beautiful trail, pretty water, great for picture taking

I really enjoyed this hike, but I'm giving it 3 stars because the majority of the trail is unmarked (except for the white trail that connects the two summits). If you don't have AllTrails Premium then a lot of this hike is guessing and backtracking, trying to find the right trail. Overall though, if you're okay with possibly missing some of the sites along the way, this was a decent hike. The abandoned amusement park was cool and a little creepy - exactly what we were looking for. The ledges and views of Easthampton were gorgeous. This was our first hike of the season and was a perfect warm-up hike; some areas were steep and there were some rock scrambles, but it wasn't too intense.

so cool. right across the tracks, it’s the Connecticut river. Beautiful view, awesome place.

Very easy and pretty little walk around the water, mostly gravel. Had to park at the Elk Lodge as the main entrance is blocked off

I loved this trail! At first it was hard to find the trail head because we were coming from the opposite side of the mountain and maps thought there was a road open that when to the other side. Once we got to the right place it was great. The trail is nicely maintained and easy to find with a little assistance of this app. Outhouses at the trail head and maps. I personally love trails that you don’t have to go far to get a good view and that’s exactly what this was. No snakes and no ticks!

The pull-off for this trail has space for about 6 cars, and it got busy today in early June. The dinosaur footprints, which are from 3 species of dinos dating back to about 190 million years ago, are really cool for kids or if you're a nerd like me. The informative sign explaining the tracks is bilingual in English and Spanish. There is a short trail down to the Connecticut River, and it's definitely worth taking. The puppies and I stayed down on the river for about 3 hours and enjoyed the cold waters. Watch out for mosquitoes and ticks around the dinosaur tracks (however by the river there wasn't an insect problem).

Decent hike especially along the cliffs but the trail going up from Rt. 141 is covered in broken glass near the summit.

I'd hike this trail again. There's the ruins of the Mt. Tom ski area at the bottom which is a cool little bit of local history, then further up on the mountain it's absolutely beautiful. Word of warning: bring your sunscreen because several areas have little to no shade, and be prepared to climb up and down staggered, rocky areas. As long as you're physically fit, though, this is a hike worth doing.

this is probably one of the easiest trails i've ever done very kid friendly.

nice easy well kept trains along the water

Beautiful trail and views! The beginning is pretty steep and rocky, but it evens out nicely once you gain the ridge line. Lots of fun little scrambles. I tacked on Goat Peak as well and was happy I did as there is a sweet fire lookout tower with 360 degree views on that one.

This hike was exhilarating to say the least. It began amongst abandoned buildings in an old amusement park. Further along, I got to see my first quarry! By the time I reached the top, the fog had rolled in so deep that it’s all I could see over the edge, it was super eerie but awesome. Be prepared to climb over large slabs of rock along the route. I’m an avid hiker and I definitely needed my poles for this elevation. As well, take heed; the trees aren’t always clearly marked.

Short, steep and sweet. Excellent views and good breezes at the top. So many meandering trails throughout. Never have to go up and back the same way.

have done it a couple of times and it's a good season warm up

First time on a trail it’s was amazing definitely gonna be back even seen A deer I’ll Make sure 2 were some hiking shoes next time that’s the only thing I didn’t prepare the trail was muddy so much fun tho

Definitely a little challenging for me toward the end, lots of breaks needed. Being from Maine, I didn’t expect to find much to hike around here. I wanted to find a close by hike for my long distance boyfriend and I was able to do so! It’s pretty cool up there and the graffiti is sort of fitting for the area. If you look down, there’s a ton of trees that were knocked down. Someone on the trail said it was from a storm/tornado. Pretty interesting.

Dog friendly. Woods and a great view from Goat Peak. Worth climbing the tower.
