Stunning, beautiful, peaceful walk. Recommend a low tide in early October. No parking fees after Labor Day.

Beautiful spot. I’d recommend wearing sandals or slip on shoes because it’s basically a walk on the beach so you’d have an easier time barefoot. We went in sneakers expecting a hike and ended up struggling through the deep sand a little and took a decent amount home with us in our shoes. Besides that, it’s a great walk.

They should call it Horseshoe Crab Cemetery Trail! It’s like a seagull cafeteria, but very peaceful and relaxed beach walk.

It’s a pretty nice walk along the coastline with great views of the ocean and the lighthouse. Currently you can see an osprey nest on the tower near the lighthouse. Lots of birds and horseshoe crabs can be seen along the beach. We made the mistake of going at high tide so we weren’t able to really enjoy the walk, the whole beach was either underwater or covered in seaweed and the sand was really deep and hard to walk in. Definitely go at low tide for a better walk.

Go at low tide. Nice combination of beach and trails. Easy hike but beautiful.

Nice walk. We went out to the end. It was a HOT day, but nice breeze kept us cool. Timed it right with the tides. Lots of Blackbacks. Some terns. Horseshoe crabs. Beautiful views. Lots of sand walking. A definite must for those who need to do more than sit on the beach.

Nice short hike with amazing views. Plan on getting your feet wet so wear appropriate footwear. Worth looking into

Causeway floods with tides; plan to finish your hike 2+ hours before high tide.

Very pretty beach trail; be sure to wear beach appropriate footwear.

I went early one morning in the fall and the fog was in. Lent the entire walk an ethereal sense. Saw only one other person and enjoyed the variation of terrain over a fairly short distance. Great for seeing birds.

Beautiful spot, the ocean views are amazing, you can see seals across the water. The loop portion of the trail takes you through a nice pine forest with some side trails through the marsh that are worth checking out. The hike is more of a walk and doesn't take long. Would recommend, would do again.

A short walk. Nice scenery. Lots of mosquitoes! Bug spray is a MUST!!!

We do this walk every morning when we are here. Although not overly strenuous, it definitely gets your heart rate up when you hit the deep sand sections. We always walk all the way to the end and explore the tidal pools filled with sea critters and the beaches with various other wildlife (and even a dead seal!!!) Highly recommend if you're in the area.

beautiful scenery. GPS takes u up a hill that says no entry private drive for quittsossee? residence only.....keep going your almost there....its the next left after that sign. public restrooms, visitors center with small museum, children's activities, boat tours with minimal schedule to go to the monomoy lighthouse (call ahead) the woman at the visitors center said they were every 2 weeks or whenever they could get a private boat.

While a nice, short hike, if you don't already have a Chatham parking sticker, you'll pay $20 for the parking. Once over the associated frustration, you'll see plenty of horseshoe crab skeletons, enjoy a beautiful view of the cape, and be able to take in the interesting scene of the lighthouse located at the trail's end. Interesting in part because it's privately owned and occupied as a private residence.

While beautiful, taking this hike when it's 25 degrees and windy is fairly foolish. On the way out the wind was at our back, which purely means it blasted us in the face the whole return trip. I'd recommend this hike though.

Hidden gem. Beautiful walk to the Stage Harbor Lighthouse and private beach at the end. So peaceful

Except for deep sand in a few places it is a very enjoyable afternoon ocean hike. A popular wind surfing area.
