This is by far my favorite trail in the Boston area especially for evening walk. The sunset view from here is simply sublime and the views is unbeatable. And on windy days you are treated to wind surfers doing stunts on the bay. There is a nice children's playground and a really cool clam shack called Sullivan. I also enjoy watching planes go by at really close level from here.

And from the pier you can see all kinds of boats go in and out of the harbor. I enjoy watching those dinner or party boat cruise go by. The only minus is that it gets much windier than anywhere else in Boston.

I was in Boston for a conference and looking for a nice, easy trail to ride a rented bicycle. This was a perfect little excursion. It was very easy to get to, the trail is paved, and there are accessible beach areas. There are also public restrooms and a snack bar. Very nice!

Very pleasant, why not?

I run this route regularly and love the ocean views. There were a few puddles along the route today that were leftover from (I'm guessing) a snowstorm that happened a few weeks ago. A lot of families will walk around this route when the weather is nice enough (e.g. today there were a lot of families and it was 45 degrees and sunny). I don't usually see wildflowers, but sometimes there are kite surfers (who can be carried maybe 20 feet up in the air) and Fort Independence is a cool place to visit too.

Nice walk around the parkway. Paved with some small hills but otherwise flat. No parking at the starting point. Will need to drive to the other side of the pond for street parking.

Great ride!

The Swan Boats in the Public Garden was a great memory for me as a young kid. Our visits into the city usually coincided with lots of other fun stuff, often ending with a Red Sox game at Fenway!

Boston Common is America’s oldest public park, and the Public Garden...the first public botanical garden. While living in the Boston suburbs as a child, I visited it with my family several times, usually during the spring when much of it was in bloom. I have also enjoyed returning as an adult during trips back to the city. Of course, riding the Swan Boats in the Lagoon was always a highlight in my younger days.

I love jogging here it's beautiful

We bought tickets for the Boston Harbor Cruises Beergarden Sunday night and had an amazing time. There were only about 30 of us on the island and the sunset over the Boston skyline was gorgeous. The Perimeter trail is nice and flat and perfect for a little walk. I would recommend heading up onto the North Drumlin for the best views of the city!

Come see the planes overhead heading for Logan International Airport. The hike is easy and there is a parking lot at the entrance.

Nice walk around the park with multiple soccer fields. Many dogs off leash.

Simple, flat but pretty with nice view of the pond. Good for walking running or biking. Is what it is...no frills, but enjoyable.

Love walking this route! Scenery is great. easy walk

Great walk. Paved path is as easy as it gets. Good for kids learning to ride their bikes, strollers, and also wheelchair accessible. Pond wildlife like ducks, geese, and fish when the pond is stocked twice a year. Sailing lessons and canoe/ rowboats for rent make the pond a local destination for frequent and varied uses. Exercize stations throughout make it a go to for JP residents. There is a historic element addressed by signage and representative building foundation on a hill north of the pond. Nice, however often busy, family walk.

I have walked this trail many, many times in all weather conditions. you will almost always have others on the trail, especially in the warmer seasons. It is paved, but the trees and the pond are great.... I have definitely seen people run this loop around the pond...
