Great time. Easy walk with plenty to see.

I was in Boston for a conference and looking for a nice, easy trail to ride a rented bicycle. This was a perfect little excursion. It was very easy to get to, the trail is paved, and there are accessible beach areas. There are also public restrooms and a snack bar. Very nice!

Very pleasant, why not?

Nice easy walk around the island. Yes, it can smell at certain points, but it’s not the entire walk. It was overcast today but still beautiful. Gorgeous Boston city skyline. Easy walk for the dogs with paved trail the entire way. Small parking lot. Would love to come back with sunny skies.

Great trail for walking, running, or just relaxing for a moment on one of the benches. Jamaica Pond is beautiful in the spring when the trees bloom and good for watching some of the waterfowl. Very dog friendly trail as well - you’ll see lots of puppies, runners, and families.

can't believe I spent most of my life hearing about this place but hadn't visited. I really like it... water views, city views. nice place to picnic. play area for kids. paved paths. watch plane activity at Logan.

best views of the boston skyline at the top of north drumlin! great little hike. love the harbor islands so much!

An absolutely wonderful way to see Boston and learn a lot of history!

This is just a spectacular trail. If you have read any of my other reviews, while doing city routes, I like to make these into a pub crawl. And the local Irish ☘️ has made this the best pub crawl/trail I have ever done. Yes, it was spectacular to see all of the history along the route, the only other place i’ve done a hike that had this much history and monuments is the National Mall in DC. The bars and food were amazing as well! The only thing that was a downer about this (which is my fault because I didn’t plan) is that I started this around 1600 and many of the places were closed. Because of this, I had to do some detours and could not see many of the churches, graveyards, and Paul Revere’s house. I’m just traveling through, so I do not think I’ll be able to do this again, but if I get a chance I certainly will.

I run this route regularly and love the ocean views. There were a few puddles along the route today that were leftover from (I'm guessing) a snowstorm that happened a few weeks ago. A lot of families will walk around this route when the weather is nice enough (e.g. today there were a lot of families and it was 45 degrees and sunny). I don't usually see wildflowers, but sometimes there are kite surfers (who can be carried maybe 20 feet up in the air) and Fort Independence is a cool place to visit too.

Nice walk around the parkway. Paved with some small hills but otherwise flat. No parking at the starting point. Will need to drive to the other side of the pond for street parking.

Pretty flat paved trail along the edge of the water. Parking lot has about 20 spaces. Beautiful views of the city.

Paved path on flat surface. Very casual walk. Plenty of parking available.

Great ride!

I prefer to go on the week days, as it can get quite crowded most weekends. Nice view of Boston and the harbor islands. I like to take the trails that are off the main trail for a more nature feel.

So much colonial and Revolutionary War history interspersed among modern-day Boston. Over the years, I have been to most of the attractions along the trail...many multiple times (from the Boston Common, the Old State House, Faneuil Hall, Paul Revere's house, the Old North Church to the USS Constitution).

The Swan Boats in the Public Garden was a great memory for me as a young kid. Our visits into the city usually coincided with lots of other fun stuff, often ending with a Red Sox game at Fenway!

Boston Common is America’s oldest public park, and the Public Garden...the first public botanical garden. While living in the Boston suburbs as a child, I visited it with my family several times, usually during the spring when much of it was in bloom. I have also enjoyed returning as an adult during trips back to the city. Of course, riding the Swan Boats in the Lagoon was always a highlight in my younger days.

I love jogging here it's beautiful

We bought tickets for the Boston Harbor Cruises Beergarden Sunday night and had an amazing time. There were only about 30 of us on the island and the sunset over the Boston skyline was gorgeous. The Perimeter trail is nice and flat and perfect for a little walk. I would recommend heading up onto the North Drumlin for the best views of the city!

A precious resource for Boston and a welcome relief from the stresses of city life. Gorgeous end to end.

It's an amazing history lesson in the greatest city. Pull see more than just he historic parts (btw being told to you by people in pilgrim clothing) but you'll see the city as well. After the tour, go to modern bakery and try the duck boat tour if you have time. Boston has a lot of stuff for a small city.

Informative and entertaining walking tour of the Freedom Trail. I did this on a cold day in February. If you're going to tough it out, make sure you've got gloves, and maybe a hot beverage. The trail takes you through some historic spots in the heart of Boston. Highly recommended for history buffs and folks of all ages.

A lovely little piece of nature to have a walk through - one gravel walkway (red on map) is supplemented with grass walkways through the wildflowers. One tall observation tower and two docks provide great viewing stops. Scattered benches throughout the trail provide a nice spot for a rest if needed.

Come see the planes overhead heading for Logan International Airport. The hike is easy and there is a parking lot at the entrance.
