Clean and well maintained. Easy to navigate as well.

They do a really good job of hiding the parking for the trail head. I used the Bolton Trails Committee map (http://www.boltontrailscommittee.org/2-vaughn-hills.html). Most of the parking they refer to is clearly private property when you get there. There's a note buried in there about setting your GPS to 245 Vaughn Hill Rd. There's a beat up sign pointing you to the parking lot that's kind of difficult to see.

The positives are that the trail is pretty vacant, or at least it was when I was there. And the marsh is really cool. It's also a really easy hike with lots of tree cover.

The negatives are that the trails are all really poorly marked. There are blazes for a "Bolton Loop Trail" that isn't documented anywhere and it seemed like they kind of just gave up on the other trails after a few miles. Alltrails has this listed as 6.5 miles and there's no way I got to all of it because it was such a mess to navigate.

This place is beautiful. Love to walk my dog here. Very easy and serene. When you first enter there’s a line of majestic pines along the trail that never fail to awe. There’s an easy loop trail around 2 ponds and a short walk in a meadow. Then there are longer hikes into the woods.

Easy hike. The trail is beautiful, met quite a few people with off-leash dogs along the way, all very nice and friendly. There was a kids camp there as well so pretty busy, especially for a weekday. But beautiful area, easy, scenic hike. And very dog-friendly but make sure your pup is ok with meeting dogs because there are a lot of them here!

Disclaimer: the highlighted loop does not take you to the lime kiln/quarry. In order to reach these, you need to take the Bob Horton Trail. This can very was be done in combination with the highlight loop for a good easy hike.

Review: despite the confusion over where the kiln/quarry was, the hike was still very nice. The woods are very beautiful with hills and cool rock features. The trails are pretty well maintained, however they are not signed. Using the AllTrails tracker is recommended for direction. The quarry was pretty interesting, about 20 feet deep with a pond at the bottom. The kiln has spots on the side where the rock had melt patterns. Definitely one of the coolest spots in the area with an interesting history.

Easy hike. Single trails for mountain biking. Quiet.

Beautiful trail but not marked well so it's easy to get lost.

Excellent place for the dogs to take a swim, walk, play and run with other dogs. Miles of beautiful trails to explore or run on. Many scenic views and trails and the beautiful ponds.

I enjoyed my 1 hour long hike very much . No other hikers . I followed the Seasonal by pass trail . Yellow markers staying to right . The directions tell you to start on Woodside Road . There is no parking there . The proper entry is at end of Vaughn Hills road on the right

This is a wonderful spot. Trails opened 1730. Would give 5 stars except for 2 things-very buggy. Put on tons of bug spray but had to keep adding more .Secondly trails are not marked very well . This program was fabulous at indicating if you got off the main trail which I did 4 or 5 times . Didn't see a single other hiker. Nice experience overall

Easy walking, kind of pretty in areas, however map is not accurate so we got lost for a short period but as long as the sun is out you can figure how to get to the trailheads from that and car noise.
