Great family trail! Easy hike only took us about 1.5 hours! Highly recommend. A little confusing at parts but not hard to follow

Nice view of Steve’s pond at our starting point. Must be vigilant that you’re on a trail as pine needles make them hard to discern at times. Wish they put up a few more markers. Easily traversed with little vertical introduced.

Really nicely maintained trails easy to follow signs and great views of the lake! Only down side is no trash can in parking lot for dog bags.

Only did half as it was a tab bit confusing and there were a lot of bugs. Don’t recommend using a bike as there are lots of exposed roots. Beautiful scenery got lots of great pictures.

Very nice trail. I took a different trail than outlined in AllTrails around two ponds with great water views.

This is listed as moderate, but its closer to easy. Other than a few small ups and downs, its pretty straightforward, probably 70% is wide dirt road. Very pleasant hike though, will definitely revisit. A little buggy today, otherwise no complaints!

On a 55 degree misty morning at 9, the parking lot was becoming busy but the trails were very quiet. This particular loop keeps you mostly on narrow, winding, wooded trails that were great for a few walkers and their dogs. It was not buggy, but I can imagine that in warmer weather, the mosquitoes would be ferocious. While the trails themselves were easy to follow, they aren’t marked in a way that makes following this loop a simple task - we had to refer regularly to the AllTrails map. Please note that although AllTrails indicates at this time that dogs must be on-leash, that is not the case. Dogs are permitted off-leash on Harold Parker State Forest trails per the DCR. Dog owners are not supposed to allow them to approach other visitors to the park or chase bikes, joggers, horses, or wildlife.

Green loop

Loved this trail - green, quiet, scenic, rocky - but not marked terribly well. I would have gotten so, so lost without this app

Nice chill trail. Went running today, got a lil lost but it was actually pretty fun trying to find my way back. I realized towards the end that google maps actually has all of the trails mapped out so all you have to do is drop a pin on your car and your good.

Very nice, flat Trail. Some single-track but mostly double-track. The single-track has a lot of exposured roots, so wear good footwear. The double-track isn't quite as wide as a fire road, but it looks like it would be great for some easy mountain biking. The lake is nice with a few fishermen catching mostly sunfish, but they said there are bass there. The trail is not too busy. Good parking.

Excellent trail, varied terrain, new and old boardwalks, cool beaver hut and dam on side trail.

Loved this trail. I found it a little short but blues were definitely challenging with lots of rocks and inclines. Used this app a lot to navigate to stay one moderate trails. Around 3.3-3.4 I had to turn back because there wasn’t a visible trail at end that connected and took me back to my starting point. I saw a lot of mountain bikers but only came across a few. Moderate trails are definitely narrower too and I think bikers stayed on wider trails. I’d definitely go back to explore some more trails. Oh and lost of poison ivy so be careful.

Nice and easy

Nice trail. Better for walking unless you want to bike in the woods.

Good moderate/easy hike

Really nice neighborhood trails system. Would love having it in my backyard but prefer the remote feeling and challenging terrain of other AVIS properties. One steep hill, a few pretty boardwalks, and a couple ponds. Easy walk. Heavily trafficked.

If your looking to take the family out for an easy hike there’s a lot to explore and see here.

I love Skug! But today wanted to check out the Hammond Reservation that’s directly across the street. What a little gem! The main trail is only about a mile but worth the effort. The bridge/boardwalk system was lengthy and beautiful - children will love it - surrounding beautiful wetlands filled with spring rising skunk cabbage and fiddleheads. Easily connects to Skug, which connects to Harold Parker, giving hikers miles upon miles of trails to explore. Dog friendly too!

many offshoot trails of varying levels. very well marked.

Great trail that is pretty scenic. Easy to expand this to a 4 mile hike if you feel it is too short. More of an easy hike than moderate.

Very beautiful with moss covered rocks, lots of trees, and ponds. Beware of people biking on the same path. My only complaint is we struggled to find our way back to the beginning where our car was because it wasn’t bold on the map and the trail just ends. Had to walk on the main road for .25-.5 mi

A couple of super fun MTB single tracks, challenging in spots with big rocks and steep grades. Few muddy sections getting in that are tough to avoid.
