One of my favorites to go on with my 6 year old. She is a trooper, don’t let her age fool you. Last time we saw wild turkeys and a deer mid day. Beautiful views.

Solid trail. Good climbs for intermediate level. There are beginner trails as well. Technical, climbs and downhills.

Always fun at Harold Parker Forest trails

Main part and half of trail is about 1+ yard width. Good for running sprint 1mile for training. Recommend you go counterclockwise because steep part will be uphill and you won’t risk your knees or slippage.

Great diversity in trail difficulty/terrain and some nice views of Boston skyline make this an ideal trail running or hiking location. When I ran out to the marsh/bog section there were at least 4 snakes slithering about on the boards, which was pretty cool.

Great views, great hike, loved it only thing is the signs are a little confusing we slightly got lost on the way back, good thing is it all eventually goes to the same place.. I strongly recommend this trail

Versatile place to walk/hike. Lovely views on top of the hill. The bog boardwalk was fun to explore. $5 parking fee, pay by card.

Great views from Boston hill if you take the red trail! I think technically the red trail is slightly over 3 miles. Doing the loop as advertised here incorporates parts of the blue trail too, but the whole area is very well marked with signs and maps any time the trails split so it’s not too difficult to know where you are. I would classify this more as easy than moderate, but still, a very nice hike. Trails are well maintained and very wide. Great for dogs!

Always clean and friendly environment.

Nice scenery with wide trails.

Great hike. Did the red trail with my 10 year old daughter. As advertised, moderate hike, great mix of terrain and things to see.

Beautiful place

Great trail. Awesome views.

Be prepared to pay a parking fee

I did the full loop with my three year old son today. He was able to walk almost the whole way on his own and we had a great time. There are about 6 or 7 parking spaces right at the entrance.

Its $5 to park for the day at the parking lot. We started the trail near the gate instead of at the back of the parking lot. At the beginning, there were some interesting rock outcroppings and then halfway through it was more water features, swamps, ponds. We had to cross or walk a short distance on roads four times. The roads a not heavily travelled but they are narrow. The end took us through a paved camping area. For a weekend day, we did not see many people on the trails. The trail was not marked so spent a lot of time checking my phone as there were many intersecting trails (hence the missing star). I don't think this should be rated as moderate as it was pretty easy. Nice place. One could make it as short or as long as one wanted.

anyone in reasonably good health without physical impairment can handle this. trails are well maintained and marked. Boston Hill has a meadow at the top which provides a panoramic view of the area. It is also a good place for bird watching. I saw several bluebirds and hummingbirds as well as the more common species. with the exception of the initial climb on the ward Hill trail, there are no continuous uphill sections. The remains of wagon roads bordered by stone walls show this was once farmland. Llittle to none noise from traffic on most of the trail. great place to take pre-teens who are unfamiliar with hiking.

no signs to guide you but all tracks leads to trails and to roads. i paid too much attention to if i was following the planned route but i gave up. I couldn't get lost in the wilderness.

Great local family hiking spot. Low degree of difficulty & nice woodsy scenery w/ off main trail spots to hike as well. Enjoyed this one!

Lovely area, especially the view from elephant rock. Muddy in some places. Fairly well marked and easy to follow. Did not like the Boston Hill section much. Took about 2 hrs including 10 minutes rest at the top.

A really great hike. The only reason I had to deduct a star is because of not only the noisy section next to the industrial area, but the old cables/power lines that were laying all over the side of the hill leading up to Boston Hill and the junkyard-style spot in the same area with rusted out car shells and old metal, etc. The graffitied guard shack-looking thing and the giant busted concrete slab thing next to it. For such a nice area, this is kind of a stain. Outside of this area, the hike was perfect. Would definitely go again, I would just avoid this section of the hike.

It was ok for me, not great. Lots of in and out short trails that all lead back to the main road. A good place for a walk with a dog- not so exciting by yourself! At least the ice had almost entirely melted.
