Great open spaces, well maintained, and plenty of parking. My dog and I love to run down to the river where she splashes around with the other dogs who happen to be there.

Great trail, fun climb in the beginning with great open pasture if you keep going. Lots of people like to take their dogs off leash so be aware.

Pretty decent incline, amazing sunrise views at the top. Dog loved it! Teenage daughter griped until the top.

This was our first time here and my kids and I loved it. I walked, they rode their bikes. My only issue was finding where to enter the trail. We started downtown and it wasn't marked, at least nothing I could see. I was able to ask someone walking by and they showed me where the path was.

though it is dog friendly be warned most do not adhere to the leash law. met one woman whose dog was attacked by another. the first day of warm weather day did allow for dogs to take a dip. beautiful scenes and good moments for dogs. but best to keep distance from other dog owners and dogs off leash.

Walked this for the first time last night and it was nice until I encountered a bike "officer" (?) who oddly came right at me when I moved in to the other lane and out of his way (he was to my right heading down the trail and we were headed back up the trail) and then headed right for me when I moved to the left. He or she said absolutely nothing, it was beyond strange and unnecessary. Uniforms never mean you have to be a jerk or be on a power trip. Try talking to people it goes along long way!!

Found this hiking trail when living in Hampton, NH back in 2015. I have hiked it a few times. The trail initially is a flat walk that follows the river. When the trail starts to gain in elevation, it is still pretty easy. The view at the top is disappointing, I felt I was spying on people’s property because the view overlooks a condo development. The red park bench at the top is adorable though, so at least you can sit while looking into people’s privacy.
