Very muddy and no how much bug spray I had on they still attacked

Lovely and really empty

Seems to be a little longer than the 1.7 miles. We did a few small side trails down to the water and ended up with a 3.3 mile hike. Great rolling trails

Nice trail, very few people. A couple of plank areas and a few muddy parts. Easy for our 4 year old to walk.

Perfect. Peaceful. So many tiny, incredibly beautiful spring-in-bloom microcosms. (And only 2 other humans) Marshy in spots.

Great walk with varying hills. But VERY soggy. Must wear water proof shoes

Not really a hiking trail more of a walk in the park. Still absolutely beautiful. Has some great information. Good place for kids and dogs and maybe a picnic!! Really pretty!

Still wet but a nice little walk!!!

It's quite muddy, as you would expect for this time of year. I assume that it is far better in the summer and fall. But with decent boots and a bit of skill in jumping from rock to rock, you can make it. The path that is right by the lake is impassable. It was in pretty deep water, and there were large trees down blocking it also. The 2 blue trails that cross through the center were quite nice. They aren't in the suggested route here on Alltrails, but I extended my hike just a bit to see them, and they were mud-free and had some nice bridges. On the whole, this hike is very nice. There are a lot of well-constructed bridges, and a variety of things to see. I particularly liked the part of the trail that was closest to the golf course. It gives you a good view of some of the interesting greens on the golf course, as you go over the highest part of the little hill. There's a few areas where the trees have been utterly destroyed by Bittersweet. I hope the town has plans to combat it at some point.

Nice Quiet trail, but extremely muddy & just plain wet right now in some places. Not totally impassable but a great challenge. A few people out trying to make it more user friendly, but futile until it dries a little more.

Cool board walk. Some was under water.

SO muddy. It did rain this week but there was a well-worn side track next to one particularly bad section that makes me think it’s always that way! We had to turn back because we weren’t prepared with our boots!

Lovely today with 40 degree temps. Trails were muddy and dry. No bugs. Only saw two other hikers and both had a dog. I will definitely be back to visit other trails in this area. Kid friendly - my boys joined me today.

Great place to park is at the entrance to Camp Acton off of Pope road. This links up with the Spring Hill loop. Here is a URL with a map of Acton trails: https://trails.actonma.gov/map/?zoom=14.20&lng=-71.384358&lat=42.505059&m=[] This is a great trail for the dog. Nothing much to see, but a great local trail to let the dog loose and enjoy the woods. If you start on right hand side of the loop at the entrance at Camp Acton, there's a great rock to take a picture of the kids across the brook. Maybe 400 yards in.
