Firstly, Permethrine is your friend. This trail was loaded with ticks but it was the most worthwhile trail in this tract. You follow an old forest road for a while and then sharp cut back to the right and you almost the lose the trail here. There is a gully to traverse here but worth it. After you make it up the other side the trail ends up at the creek. Plenty of good places around that area to break for lunch, as I did, and take pictures.

There has been some recent logging in this loop and some trees are down on this trail. The last 1/3 of the trail is the best bit IMO going round clockwise. There is some water and mud but most is navigable.

The Green Trail is the main loop of the Chandler Tract. You access the Blue Loop from this trail. There is a spur off the northwest corner that heads back to Route 113 that the DNR map shows as having another parking lot but I didn't venture that way. I came in on the Green/White Trail. My feet stayed relatively dry on this hike. It was more peaceful the farther I got away from Route 113.

Part of the trail was closed for repair, unfortunately it was the boardwalk section. Had a great walk nonethless. Staff at Furnace Town Info center very helpful, even gave the pup some water, as we had forgotten a bowl.

This particular route is a WATER trail not a land trail! I suggest checking tides and winds as it can be fairly difficult if you are paddling against them. The Shad Landing area itself offers some easy hiking trails, half of which are pet friendly. People looking for longer, pet friendly hikes should check out the Milburn Landing area of Pocomoke River State Park which also has access to the trail head for the Algonquin Cross Country Trail into the Pocomoke State Forest.
