Nice, easy trail. The parts that is closet to the water use extra caution. When you enter the park be prepared to pay a fee at the gate.

This is an awesome trail that loops around from Muddy Creek to Swallow Falls which are absolutely gorgeous. A quick and easy walk on the main trail and you can go down below and follow along the creek to loop around which is a little more difficult and rocky but still an easy hike, be cautious that it may be slippery.

Loved this trail! Hiked to the falls and back, which was absolutely worth all of the river crossings. We relaxed and swam at the falls before heading back. I would say in total there were probably at least 12-14 river crossings that we had to take our shoes and socks off to get through without getting wet. That definitely slowed us down, and in total we spent about 5 hours enjoying this awesome hike. Loved the North and South bridges as well...so many cool things to see on this trail!

Trailhead marked as 3739 Snaggy Mountain Road. Someone penciled in on the info board that this the Rock Maze Trail. No blazes but well worn easy trail. Small parking lot and no facilities.

There is a fee of $3/pp Maryland Res or $5/pp non Res. There was no one taking cards, though they accept them, but there was an honor system cash deposit area. The trail starts you in the middle of all the falls... left for muddy creek which we didn’t have time for, right to the rest of them. All offered different sized falls and different vistas. Our 8 year old and 1 year old enjoyed them. Loved all the pines and the gorgeous shades of green

We did this out and back on a Tuesday. It took us almost 5 hours but it was a beautiful hike, only saw one other hiker. View at the end was great, but it was 4.4 miles out not 3.5 as labeled. We were 3 30-somethings and 2 60-somethings and with good hiking shoes all did great. About 5 good river crossings each way but no feet got wet just required a bit of maneuvering

This trail is lovely. Lots of places for a dip. If you can’t do the whole trail and want to see the waterfall, start at the bottom!
