This is a conveniently located, easy trail. I walk along it a few times a week. You can either stay on a wide, flat path or walk down to the river bank. There are plenty of rocks to scramble over if you choose. It is very close to houses and roads, but the sound of the river drowns out traffic.

This isn't your average spot. You can choose to make it a leisurely stroll, or you can venture off the beaten path and climb rocks, explore ruins, scope out graffiti, get lost in history, and if you're brave enough, cross the river on the rocks. There is so much to take in here. It is a local favorite of mine, and I come in every season to see what changes unfold.

A couple laps this morning. Great way to start the day.

A nice walk in late fall after a couple soccer fixtures.

Have hiked this twice now and enjoyed it both times. It’s an easy, flat stroll in the woods but lovely scenery.

It's a nice easy trail. Fairly flat and well maintained. Arrows painted on the trees indicate trail. In fall, the first 1/2 mile is pretty muddy but dries up once you reach the beginning of the loop. Good for wildlife viewing but not very adventurous.

Very easy walk

Dont be afraid to go off the beaten path. The bridge is cool and all, but you need to go in the woods and check out the old cotton mill it’s graffitied up an alot of the old machinery is in the remains of the building! Its very cool and i would recommend checking it out.

Nice hike, great place to shoot some nature photos

Lovely views of the river, made for a nice evening stroll. Definitely more of a stroll than a hike. Wish it had been longer

Great trail but a little too short for my liking. Overall great experience!

Loved it, only a short walk before the rain but I will be back

It’s been a year since my last trip here. I brought my puppy for a nice hike and wasn’t disappointed. There is plenty of shade and places to sit for water breaks; it is kept almost completely trash free; and it’s secluded enough that, if you don’t want to run into people, you don’t have to. I can see how the parking could run out, but there is another parking area near the pier that has plenty of space.

Nice day hike

Great walk,

My dogs and I wanted to get out and the nice weather today and this park is pretty close to my house. It’s probably really beautiful in the summer time, so I suggest going then. Parking was great, but again, I can see it running out quickly on a really nice day. The only real negative thing I can say about this outing is that there was no where for me to throw away my dogs wastes. The paths are really easy to follow.

Nice after work walk, the Temperature was in the mid 70’s. Nice view of the river below. So some people fishing in the river. On both sides of the river, there are several historical structures. Check out Savage Mill Mall.

Parked at broadcloth and red clavet Columbia MD. So for me 5 stars means I would bring a friend back...
I felt safe alone the entire time because houses and neighborhoods are close by. I was turned off at first because it’s pavement ... which doesn’t feel like hiking to me... plus at first it seemed like any bike path near my house but the plus was ... I could enjoy the scenery instead of looking down for obstacles. Lots of peaceful areas and water... and some cute wooden ‘bridges’ plus it had some hills instead of being all flat

I really enjoyed the old graveyard off the whip poor will trail, as well as the parachute landing site dedication.

Absolutely beautiful in the summer. Since we had a late start to the day, I didn't want a long hike. So, I took my dog and we had a great time walking about and watching the wildlife. We even saw some beavers splashing around. Despite the amount of cars, the land is so spread out that it feels very natural and serene.

Nothing to complain about at all. I'll definitely go again, and maybe bring a picnic basket too!
