Great set of trails. It seems that they’re expanding the trails as well. My fiancée, dogs and myself have a blast here.

I was looking for a trail close to Laurel that would enable us to use the now-longer window of daylight between end-of-working-day and supper. This trail was perfect. My three fellow hikers were not keen at first - they wanted to go straight to supper! - but admitted afterwards that they were glad that we made the effort. Car parking is readily available - be aware that some parking spots close at dusk.

Well marked generally wide trails with a few fun outcroppings and some steeper narrower areas that were fun. Really enjoyed this one!

Not a bad trail but rather noisy because you can hear the traffic from the highways. Maybe it is quieter when the leaves are out.

Lovely walk. Only did the first chunk from Savage park to Guillford, but looking forward to doing the rest soon! Pretty popular though so there were a lot of people on the trail. Also wasn't a huge fan of the sections that ran and crossed over a major road

This location does not have off road trails as posted on All trails. We were unable to explore as intended. I am sure this is a great hiking location, but beware, no offroading available here.

I've been taking my puppy here for awhile- nice walk and hike. Easy to get down to the patuxent river for him to cool down. A lot of runners and dogs - overall very peaceful.

This trail is ideal for mountain biking. There are alot of abrupt stops and inclines and the trail towards Lake Elkhorn is mostly gravel and mud. I had to stop and turn around because it was too muddy for my bike.

With my son, we traveled down one of the four split trails. We had such a great time! I don't know if the trail colors mean anything about their level of difficulty, but some trails run right by the water and others don't. Anyway you walk, it's a nice scenic view, and you will meet fellow hikers along the way.

Really pretty woods, fairly dense, and nice trails that are well-marked. Easy to get in 2-3 miles, and up to 5-6 if you don’t mind running the same path twice. In suburban area so kids, dogs aplenty when I was there early Saturday morning. I did these woods as a “long run” in the very beginning of trail half-marathon training after a slight ankle roll earlier in the week because its a trail but was not super technical. A safe option and A great day overall.

Nice trail, unfortunately the red trail part was closed.

Red, Yellow and green trails is almost 4 miles. Ice on the rivers was amazing.

we expected more things to do on the trail. just good for walk.

Hiked the Green Trail. It was scenic and quiet. Trail markers were well placed besides a visible trail. There is a steep path on the right side of a loop that may prove to be challenging going up or down but is generally manageable.

Not bad, but nothing special. You do get to spend some time by the water here, and it's easy without being too boring. Nice short little loop.

nice peaceful hiking and jogging area

Good Hike. Remember the bug spray in the summer when you are near the river!

Nice trail, they could've done a better job marking where the trail continues in some areas (e.g. by Patuxent Branch Middle(or was it High?) School).

Moderate? It was flat and paved and posed no difficulty. I wouldn't call this a trail. More like a paved suburban path.

We really enjoyed hiking the Green and a little of the Blue trails this time.

nice park. can put trails together how ever you like and only 200 yards from little patuxent trail. played in River and not nearly as crowded as patapsco

We really enjoyed walking on the Red Trail this time. It was very scenic. next time we will explorer other trail options.
